I have checked online about laser face lifts and skin tightening and it seems to good to be true, if anyone out there has tried this I would love to hear your results. I have a consult next week to see if I am a good canidate. I am going to a surgeon and not one of the express type places. I just do not want any more surgeries if I can avoid them. My face if the last area I want done.

I don't know directly about the laser face lift but they talked about it on the plastic surgery program on Sirius Docs from NYU yesterday and one of the surgeons said if there was a way to do it with minimal downtime, they would all be signing up.  They said the laser lift was ok if you had minimal aging and didn't expect really long-term results so I guess if you just have a little sagging it would be ok.  I am recovering from a major SMAS facelift and it isn't a picnic for sure but I hope not to have to have another procedure for a long time.  I am older and had a lot of loose skin on my neck and lower face.  Still not sure if it was the right decision but am about 3 weeks out so I guess it is still too early to tell.  I would make sure the surgeon has "lots" of experience in facial plastic surgery, not just plastic surgery or some other specialty because if something goes wrong, you sure don't want it to happen to your face.  Also, be sure to ask to see pictures of his/her before/after photos as well as contact info for people who have had it done by him/her.  It really helps to make an informed decision.  Good luck!

I've had several laser procedures done on my face in the past, but it was mostly for the redness caused by rosacea. I did have a bit for tightening, but didn't see ANY effect from it. Maybe a slight improvement in texture, but nothing was tighter.

I had a lot of fat in my cheeks and neck, so that skin was stretched beyond what laser could do (so I had a fl about a year ago to deal with it) but expected more from the laser where I had only slight issues, like around eyes or forehead, thinking it would be easier to tell. I feel like the laser was a waste of money for any wrinkles or tightening, but was good for getting rid of the redness.

Lots of hype, minimal results except for very fine lines and wrinkles or mild skin texture problems.  Will not lift jowls or loose neck skin.

Go to www.realself.com and type in the names of the various treatments out there (Thermage, Titan, Veloshape, Fraxel) to get an idea of what people are saying about them. Unbiased info in most cases, not website or TV  talk show hype.

Thank you for your answer. I am going to use a local surgeon and he said the same.

I had a full neck & face lift done 8 mo ago.  The turkey neck is gone, so are the jowls.  I think Dr Sauceda did a great job.  Before going into surgery, he told me he wouldn't make me scary.

I saw the doctor today and with the weight loss I have had there is no way lasers can fix it. He was honest and even offered me a free treatment to see if that was what I wanted. I decided to go ahead and schedule a face lift. I am waiting till after the holidays but have put a deposit down to save my date. I think it will be the best choice. Wasn't wanting more surgery but this should be my last.
