3 years ago today, I had my RNY. Hurricane Ike had just hit us hard and I was worried my surgery would have to be post-poned. Thankfully the med center was open. I am so thankful to Dr.Davis for giving me my life back and to Dr.LoMonaco for making me feel whole again. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat. No regrets.

Happy anniversary Laura!!!  Be proud girl!!!  You workedso hard at it!  And I need to talk food with you sometime to see what you can and cannot eat.  Wondering if my normal is normal...

Thanks Chris! I'm probably not a good one to talk food with. I can pretty much eat everything, just less at one time than I used to. But 90% of the time I make healthy choices. I like to think I eat like a "normally thin" person now.

WOW. I absolutely LOVE seeing transformation pics like this. Not only do you look like an entirely different person, but you are, inside and out.

I find it interesting that some people, when they lose a lot of weight, look older than they did before, because their face loses proportionally more fat than the rest of them, and it can have an aging effect. Others look years, even decades younger. You're definitely one of the lucky ones who looks much younger. You could easily be one of those glam beverly hills trophy wives, if you put on a nice string of pearls and some sexy heels (and I mean that in the most complimentary sense possible!). You just have a very polished look to you, you look like you take good care of yourself and put effort into your appearance. It's a nice look.

Congrats on your success!!
