Did your implants feel too big at first?

Holy big boobs Batman! I told doc I would like to be a full D when all is said and done. Well, these things are feeling huge. Please tell me they are going to settle down--a lot. They are 575cc, but he said because of the diameter of the base of my breasts and the width of my torso that size would be necessary to balance me. They just feel very high and almost like they are in the way of my arm when I reach across my body.

Hoping I've not traded one huge body part for another!

Thanks!

Denise

from what I hear they will need some time to settle and also the swelling will need to go down as well before you get a true feel for what they will be like in the end...try not to worry and dont let any stress get to you..just try to relax and heal..Im also pretty sure they will drop at some point but then again I havent been through this yet...good luck my dear and keep us all posted!!!

YES! I thought I was going to have to start looking for jobs as a pole-dancer when I first set eyes on my new boobs.

Even before I got them, I was SHOCKED at my surgeon's recommendation for size. Just like your surgeon, mine said I had to go with a bigger implant because I had a large breast width diameter and a large chest wall/ribcage. I said, can't I just go a bit smaller? But take a look at this picture of LeAnn Rimes and her boob job:
http://www.dlisted.com/files/leannrimes12.jpg

Her breasts have too large of a gap between them, they look like they're almost running away from each other. This is because her implants are too small in diameter for her breast base, so they don't 'fill in' the middle enough. My surgeon explained that that's what would happen if I didn't get an implant that would sufficiently fill the base of my breast.

Conversely, if your implants are too large, there will be little to no gap between them, and we all know that Pam Anderson look. When was your surgery? I'm 9 days out, and mine still look like pecs. Well, you've seen the pics probably in my album. They're high up, swollen, misshapen. It'll be about 2-3 months before they start resembling real boobs.

Be patient. You're not used to it now. I just this evening put on a sports bra from my fat days (it's still a bit loose! So I'm not quite as big as I was at my largest!) and with the sports bra on, it looks sexy and I like how it balances me out.

My implants are 480 but they're overfilled (I don't know, to maybe 495ish? something like that).

How tall are you? Do you know your measurements (waist/hip)? How large were your breasts when you were at your heaviest?  Yeah, 575cc is gonna be huge on a girl who's 4'9 but if you're a tall lady, it'll be proportional. They look HUGE when you're naked. But put on a shirt, and they'll look much smaller.

Plus they're swollen as heck, most likely. Give it time. If you still think they're too big in a year, you can consider going down. But I bet you'll love em.

Thanks for that.  I am 5'7 ish and went  into surgery at just about 200lbs, so I'm a good size girl. I had surgery Friday. I was a DD at my heaviest. I have naturally wide set breasts, so he was also probably trying to balance that to avoid the LeAnn Rimes deal. I have seen a few where they touch in the middle. I'd bet that would annoying. I trust my surgeon, so I have to believe he made the right choice for my body. He brought a large rolling suitcase of implants to choose from, so I know he wasn't just arbitrarily picking one. I swore to myself I wasn't going to judge anything for a good while. I know when we looked at my friend right after her surgery things were a mess and were for quite some time.

Keep getting better!! It's always exciting to hear everyone's stories.

Thanks again!!

Denise

Lizzy, you've clearly done your homework.  Thanks for writing all that.

I'm having a breast lift and considering a smallish implant because I want the girls to stay up there.  I'll be 61 when I have plastics and I've never had girls that didn't droop.  I've always been teardrop shaped, much to my dismay when I was young.

At my heaviest I was 249 pounds and a 42 DD.  Now I'm a 34 DDD/F whatever. I'm hoping to lose a few more pounds before December and I bet it comes from my breasts.  I would love to end up with a D that's where it's supposed to be.  What a thrill that would be.  I think Dr. Sauceda uses gummy bear implants and puts them over the muscle.  I'll have to really consult with him as the largest I would ever want is a DD if he couldn't do a D.  Maybe I don't need the implants at all.

I hope you love your new breasts!!

Yes, totally.  I remember right after surgery I thought I had made a big mistake.  My new boobs were very high and looked like they were cone shaped…and HUGE

The swelling went down, they settled in, and now they're soft and totally natural looking.  I went from barely a B after losing 140+ pounds to a 34DD.  I have 400cc silicone, under muscle.  I'm 5"6 and weigh 148 if that helps.

When I went in for my preop for my boobs.. my doctor told me they would be "high and crazy" and he made me repeated it several times, because when I saw them for the first time, he was right.  They will settle down and get into place and you will look and feel normal, it just takes some time.

I have silicone 400cc.  At my heaviest I was 42DDD and now I am 36 DD.

I'm ten weeks out post 700cc silicone under the muscle, moderate profile implants (prior breast lift done in Apr of this year) and mine are still settling!

At first they were SUPER high, and misshaped. They didn't seem right, and so big. I even had one breast fall into place before the other. So I was a bit lop sided for a few weeks. Still not completely settled.

But now ten weeks later they are looking AMAZING. Even without totally being settled. Give it some time. You'll LOVE them! My surgeon took pictures at the six week mark, and said "these are not even your results, wait till the six month mark, you'll be AMAZED." So I am looking forward to that point.

Breast implants seem to need time, to "mold" to your body, and fall where they are going to be. They sit super high at first. But like I said each week they look better and better.

Don't fret...you'll see a difference soon. I hear the only regret women have is not going bigger LOL
