So I made it through the surgery. I can't believe how bad I hurt!!! I can barely move without feeling like something is tearing. Only been up once to take about 10 steps. Good news--he took off 14.5 lbs of skin and a liter of lipo goo! My boobs feel HUGE. 575cc implants. Hopefully I can still button my shirts! Wish me luck getting out of here--seems impossible right now...

Glad you are ok - sorry you are in pain - you look so skinny in your pic that it's hard to believe you could lose that much skin and lipo goo....you will be the new Barbie doll for Christmas!

So glad to hear from you.  I feel ya with the pain.  Like everyone says, it DOES get better.  I am still sore (my boobs have been worse than the TT) - go figure.  And my back is killing me.  Maybe its because I'm a side sleeper and I have been having to sleep on my back.

When do you get to go home?

Wishing and praying for a speedy recovery!

Good to see you posting.
That feeling of the tearing...god, I hated that.
It was the worst part .

In my nurse brain, I knew thay used multiple rows of suture. Chances of splitting sumthin are very small. But everytime I got up/down...in/out of bed...I felt like I was I was gonna burst!!!!

It does go away but it made me crazy for the first few days!

:::shudder:::

Take good care!!

Welcome back. 14.5!!! dang. I am amazed that you all are up, coherant and posting so fast.

I can only imagine what the pulling sensation must feel like, for me I have spent years trying to wear garments that hold everything in (more tight) this will be strange.

Happy recovery.

Woah! I just replied to your other post without reading this one first, so your new funbags are brand spankin new!! And HOLY COW, 14.5 pounds! If I could go into the OR and come out 14.5lb lighter, man that'd be awesome. But at the same time, I have to acknowledge how absolutely awful it must have been carrying around all of that extra skin. I'm truly thrilled for you to have that weight lifted!

Stay on top of the pain, stay hydrated, and take your stool softeners religiously!

Your chest probably feels like something is pressing down on it a lot, the pressure from the implants can be quite unnerving at first. It was for me for the first couple days. But you'll get used to it and it will be much better after about 5 days. I don't really "feel" them anymore which is a relief.

I know you're probably in your own little personal hell right now but you'll be so glad you got it over with all at once. Keep us posted, I'm having my tummy done in less than 2 weeks, I'd like to hear your thoughts about it.

Glad it went well for you.  Don't weigh yourself for a couple of weeks.  Most of us gain weight after plastics and it can be depressing knowing how much they took off, yet you weigh more.  The IV fluids, swelling, trauma, etc. all cause weight gain.

I can relate to feeling like something is tearing - it is a horrible feeling.  My plastic surgery (fleur de lis TT) was the worst pain I've ever had.  Day by day it gets better.

Keep us posted.

Denise,

If there is anything I can do, just yell.  I am just up the road in Pasadena.

When you feel better, I will be plucking your brain for information.  I still have a way to go (only 4 months from surgery), but I am definitely thinking ahead.

Sounds like your puppies are now Mastiffs.
