Can't offer wisdom as I am a Novenber baby but I went to the Goodwill and bought 5 really big mens button up shirts and cut the sleeves off. Figured it would be hard for me to pull a shirt over my head and my husband would be more than happy to help dress me!

hopefully someone will come along and give us both advice.

Jujuvee - good luck on your wait - I'm happy I only have two more days to worry about this....washed my face this morning and thought about how this time next week it may be hard to do something like that...

I just had this surgery a month ago. I spent the night in the hospital.  I wore a big white men's dress shirt to the hospital.  This shirt served as a robe and shirt that covered my arms.  My ace bandages were remove the next day, the dressings changed and rewrapped.  There was some blood on the shirt, but since it was white, it bleached out.  I wear this shirt in the house to keep my arms from rubbing on things. My bandages were removed after 5 days.  My doctor didn't require compression.  I still had stitches for another two weeks.  The shirt helped me not rub this on anything.  Hoped this helped.

Pain from this surgery for me was very minimal.  I had a facelift, lower eyes, and neck lift done at the same time.  Very little pain, some mild discomfort.  I didn't find that my reach was as limited as I had thought.,  No problems washing my hair, reaching into the overhead mircrowave.  The only thing I should have done was add longer pulls on my ceiling fans.  I live alone and didn't need any help with things.

Wow - thank you sooo much for sending me this information - especially since I am also doing the facelift, lower eyes and neck lift at the same time as the arms and have been scared that it would be really painful or maybe too much....I will get the long sleeved shirt in play too....

Can you tell me anymore? Like how your scars are looking - did the surgeon do a straight line or more of a curve?

thanks agaiin for any info - and glad you are doing so well yourself

You are welcome.  My name is Brenda.  I'm soon to be 61.  My arms scars are straight.  Too soon to tell how the scars will look.  I'm most dissatisfied with my armpits.  I thought we agreed for him to take off all the lumpy parts.  He only went into the middle of the pit.  I still have alot of bra overhang.  If I decide to use him again, he said he would address that in breast lift surgery.,

I'm not at all satisfied with my face lift.  I think the sides of my face are asymmetrical, about a week after the surgery I got really strange swelling on my left side which has still not gone away.  I feel like my right side if much too flabby still.

I think I like my eye lift so far.  No scars except at the very corners.  They should flatten out and fade with time.

I have already been given the go ahead for my breast life and tummy tuck, but I am holding off until I'm at least satisfied with the facelift results.  I'll see him this week to discuss my issues.

Anything else I can help with?

Hi Brenda - sorry to call you Steven - told you I wasn't very good at postings...where did you have your ps surgery?  Is it maybe too soon to tell about your face lift results?  As to the lumpy parts of the arm pits - did he do any lipo on the arms before cutting?

About the shirts over the head thing.  I stayed in zip robes for a few days, then back into 3/4 sleeve t-shirts when I went out.  A little discomfort with the arms but not bad.  I only needed pain medications for a few days.

Wow I have a lot to tell.

Stitches on eyes, in front of ears out on day 5, didn't feel a thing.  Rest of the stitches on head and arms out at 19 days.  All the staples in my scalp also came out at that time.  I was surprised at how much was in my hairline.  No pain though.
