Post ops...can we talk measurements?

Okay...3 weeks and a coule days out.
15 pounds of belly fat and skin removed.

Can someone please reassure me that I will drop a size somewhere along the way?

I wish I had taken measurements before but I did not.
(note to the pre ops...take some!!)

So my lower belly is very flat and tight. Upper belly is swollen.
So all my clothes still fit.
Once I had the drain out, I could try on my pants and stuff.
I look like Sponge Bob Square Pants...kind of boxy.

My waist is bigger...hips are smaller...blah.

I think I have seen this subject come up before but did anyone else experience this?
When might I see my waist return to normal?
I swear, by the end of the day it almost feels bigger than it did pre op?

Not possible, right?

I was soooo hoping to drop at leats a size...not being greedy or anything...but just one??

I didn't even try pants (jeans) on for the first month after the fleur de lis tummy tuck - I was just to sore & uncomfortable.  I wore elastic waist cotton knits(a size larger than normal) or a cotton knit dress.

About 6 weeks out (with compression garment on) I could get my regular size jeans on.  At 3 months out I tried on pants to get ready for fall and have gone down one size.

I did have waist sculpting with the vertical incision so I'm sure that made the difference.  I still have some belly swelling and don't want anything "tight" around my midsection.

My open wound is closed, but my belly is still "sore and tight" and I will be 4 month post op on the 24th.

I also notice that the thighs part of jeans are looser - I guess from the horizontal incision where surgeon "pulled up" my thighs and the skin isn't hanging so much there.  I did not have a thigh lift and don't plan to.  I think I'm done with plastic surgery.

I didn't change sizes except for my tops... went mostly to mediums instead of large.
I'm still wearing the same size 9 jeans.  I didn't wear anything tight for over 2 mo.  I do have to wear belts now to keep my jeans from sliding down my hips.

I'm still wearing my garment at night due to swelling - I'm 8 mo out.  By the end of night, I look like I have a rubber playground ball under my skin.

I'm obsessed with numbers. My waist was 4 inches bigger immediately post op. I lived in yoga pants for weeks. I dropped 2 inches pretty quick. Then the last 2 came off about week 9 or 10. Right now I'm the same as pre-op at 11 weeks out. I'm hoping to go down an inch, but am thankful I'm not bigger than I was before plastics!!

I live in yoga pants too!  I didn't take measurements but at 4 wks out (TT/LBL) I've only recently started noticing a slight decrease in the waist.  I haven't tried on any real clothes yet but plan to today since I'm cleaning my closet for fall... Of course all bets are off if there's swelling but will let you know when I put on some real clothing.  Try not to be too influenced by the swelling - it's very misleading not to mention the frustration. From other posts I've read it could take several weeks for your real shape to emerge. So get some nice comfy drawstring sweats and go with the flow. (easier said than done!!)

I am hoping things start to even out a little, I know it is wacky to be complaining but I am 2.5 weeks out and look like a total bimbo.  My boobs are huge and there is minimal swelling to my waist.  Measurements are 38-27-37.  My intent was a small implant to just keep me at my pre-op size but I underestimated now much bigger they would look with a much smaller waist and belly.

That's funny that you think of yourself as looking like a bimbo. After my lbl/bl my boobs are only one inch smaller than yours (I'm 37-27-37) and I think I look flat as a board.

I wore nothing but dresses for 2 months.  Then after that I stayed in the exact same size pants.  At almost 4 months post-op I notice that my pants are a smidge loose in the waist.

It is entirely possible to be bigger than you were pre-op at this point.  You won't stay that way, though!
