how long do you have the drains in for a tt
Depends. I had my drains for 10 days. Others have had them for less, and some much longer.

Had my TT/FDL 3 weeks ago today.
First JP came out at my one week visit.
The other came out today! Yay!!
Will depend on surgeon preference and how much you have coming out of the drain.
Mine likes less than 30cc in 24 hrs for 2 days in a row before he will pull.
Best not to rush...you don't want a seroma.

i had my full tummy tuck on weds the 7th and i just got my drains out today, a few hours ago actually. so i only had them 5 days. having them out is pure heaven lol im still sore and healing but ohh wow is everything much easier. seems all docs have different timing though or go by how much drainage you have. good luck
I had a panniculectomy(something like a TT) and drain 1 was out in 10 days and 2 was out 3 days later. I will saw that after the drains came out I have been do my dr and she has removed fluid that built up after the drains were taken out. The 1st time it was 400+cc's like 6 days post drains...then another 250+ cc about a week following that. Keep your compression garment on at all times...helps keep and mold the body while cutting down on fluid build up. Hope the info helps...and remember everyone is different...
