3 more days and I am freaking out.  I am more scared getting plastics then I was getting gastric bypass.  How did you guys calm the nerves and anxiety?

I have everything ready for when I come home.  Dreading the drive home on Thursday, it's only 2 hours and I'm sure the pain medication will help.

Keep me in  your prayers and I will let you all know how I am doing as soon as I can.

Thanks everyone for all the great info and advice you have given me.

I rode home  4 hours about 4 days after surgery and the pain pills did the trick. We stopped about once an hour for me to walk a bit.

I had a lower body lift 3 yrs ago that removed 17 lbs of excess skin. The recovery was not bad as the incisions are not in areas that touch one another.

It will be worth it. The waiting is always the hardest part! Best wishes,

Karen C

3 days is when my fear turned to excitement...  with much fear and anxiety also in the mix.  It's perfectly normal!  Support from people on here helped a lot with anxiety.  The best advise I got about the drive home was to bring a pillow to put over your stomach - I used one of my blow-up back pilows but anything will help. I only had a 45 minute ride home but it wasn't as bad as I expected.

This is a very exciting time.  Try to accept what you;re feeling as part of the process (google "Acceptance and Committment Therapy" - ACT)  This helped me a lot.

Good luck !!!
