Breasts & Brachioplasty on Tues - help!!!
On Tuesday I am having stage 2 of my plastics journey...breast lift & implants followed by brachioplasty. So my question to all of you who have walked this journey before, what should I honestly expect and what mush I have on hand for the recovery period.
Any and all tips, hints are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kelly girl

Good luck to you! Here's a post from just down the page a bit covering this topic. Hope it helps. Also remember that pain meds can constipate you. I always suggest that you have laxatives and stool softeners on hand. Also, you might get itchy from antibiotics and the incisions healing. Benedryl helps with that. You won't feel much like cooking at first. having pre-made things on hand really helps. Tuna salad, egg salad, cottage cheese...etc.

I just had the same thing done 2 weeks ago. Still very sore today, especially on the sides where he brought the incisions on down my side to gather in the back skin & side boobage. I don't really have any tips except sleep propped up in bed and I put pillows under my arms to elevate them. When sitting in the recliner I propped my arms up on pillows again. I don't take the pain meds now, but am still very sore, sleep well @ night tho. Just be sure not to be reaching far out or up high for ANYTHING! You do it naturally, so be VERY careful not to do this!

I didn't have implants, but I did have Brachio and a breast lift last November.
I had my surgery at an out-patient facility and was in surgery for about 3 1/2 hours.
I slept with the aid of drugs the first night -- had a follow up at the doctor's office the next day.
I was bandaged from wrist to underarm, and around my breasts with drains in each armpit.
The drains came out the next day in the doctor's office -- my bandages were changed and I was approved to go home and shower.
I took a week off work (had surgery the Thursday before Thanksgiving, and went back to work at my desk job 10 days later easily).
I think I had perocet for 14 days -- used it to help me sleep for the first week or so ---
Generally I was up and about after about 2 days ---- driving and taking care of myself fully after about 4 days.
Good luck!!!!
