I called my insurance company today to see if my request for a panniculectomy was received and they said they got it yesterday AND approved it yesterday!!   So awesome -   So now i have to figure out how much this will all cost even with the insurance.  I am hoping not more than 4-5 k!  Well my out of pocket max is 5k so it can't be more than 5 k.  Though I am also getting a few cosmetic things done with a pubic mass and I want the extr fat and skin above the BB taken care of as well.

So excited  this made my weekend!

I was also recently approved for a panni also. I'm planing on having a LBL and a mini medial thigh lift (croissant cut). I've got 2 estimates on the cost. My PS is showing that with insurance it will save me a total of 3500 dollars. I'm going in for a second consult and I'm going to try and get some hard numbers because I know how aggressively they will bill my insurance company for all the associated costs. I want them to agree that anything over 3500 will be applied to the facility, anesthesiologist, and PS. I had a sleve on 7-28-10 if I would have been a cash customer the Hospital charges would have been 3700 dollars. The Hospital billed my ins. company (BC/BS) for 88,000
dollars. and collected over 26 thousand for a 3700 dollar facility charge, then had the nerve to bill me for additional money. So knowing up front is important on what they will accept and how over payments are applied.
