Good morning!

I have been away for a little while with the start of school and then the loss of power and now I am on a weeklong overnight field trip with my 6th graders!  :-)  Any way, beyond pure exhaustion all the time, things are going well.  I am packing my incision 4 times a day and have started to drain blood clots!  (That was a new one and I was unprepared, but the PS said it was probably just coming to the surface at this point and since there was an opening coming on out!)  Who knew!

I am anxious to be able to actually workout, but think that is still down the road as lifting too much hurts and the concussion from walking fast doesn't feel good still.  I admire those of you who can get right back into the gym, I think I am going to start pushing and walking next week.  (I miss running with my dogs!)

Anyway, I hope all of you are having good times and continue healing well!  Apparently, I am going to ahve to have a scar revision with my December surgery as the abdominal scar from belly button to the left will be nearly 4 inches wide!  (I will just be happy not the be packing it and hope it will heal like everything else!)

Have a great time and stay healthy!

HI - It's great to hear how you're doing!  Wound-packing sounds like a challenge but you gotta do what you gotta do.  And your doing it!

I'm now 3 wks out and still pretty exhausted. Definitely nowhere near ready for the gym and frustrating b/c I feel like my muscles are shrinking...  and I miss running.  But other than exhaustion healing seems to be going well.

What are you having done in December???  Good luck!!!

Continue to take care of yourself!  Each day seems to get a little better!  We just have to remember we really have put ourselves thru alot & it just takes time to heal!  I can't wait to begin walking again either!
