Does anyone know what insurance will cover?

i have humana, they approved my gastric bypass in 3 day after meeting all the requirements.  I already have a pannis that "qualifies".  Anyone know if they cover TT or Panni?  And what kind of documentation do I need to be getting from my PCP and PS?  Help!  I am new to this and so excited just to have figured out how to post...I am 6 weeks post-op.

You will need to contact your insurance company directly and ask for their clinical policy bulletin regarding reconstructive surgery or obesity surgery.  This will tell you exactly what they cover, under what conditions.  Then you will need to be sure that you meet those conditions and provide them with official medical documentation stating/outlining that you meet those conditions.  This is usually medical records consisting of MD notes from visits that document rashes or other problems with the excess skin, a letter from your PCP and/or PS stating the procedure you need and that it is medically necessary (and why) and often pictures.
