Gathering my info for appeal!!

Looked into the appeal process, found out I met all the criteria for TT, except that they didn't feel my skin cover the pubic area enough. By maybe an 1/2 inch. So I am gathering all my info from all doctors, and my chiro so next week I will be filling the appeal. Please all prayers and fingers crossed could be used in this direction!!

Prayers your way! I know how high your hopes must be...I don't think people who haven't been threw our journey with weight, and than the loss...followed by needing plastics, could understand what having them done means!

I appealed under the same criteria with BC/BS. I built a case file with my P.C.P. that the irritation/ulceration was chronic and unimproved with treatment. That trumps their one size fits all policy. I went to the Dr. 4 times for this condition, I pointed out that no 2 people are symmetrically the same but the weight loss and chronic condition warranted approval for a medically necessary reconstruction procedure. By the way I've heard that an emery board used in the skin folds can help your P.C.P. diagnose the dermal irritation condition.
I was approved after my first appeal.

Thanks!! I am making another appointment this week, I have used over the counter ointments and prescribed powders. My PCP is wonderful and is very supportive of plastics!
