Recovering from browlift/facelift/necklift

I had all the facework done yesterday and am really spacey today from paid meds etc.  Now that much pain but quite a bit of swelling, black eyes and a face bandage.  Bandages come off tomorrow but healing will be ongoing for awhile.  Hope it turns out the way that was planned.  Surgeon changed part of surgery beforehand when he decided not to use endotines on my checks so don't know how that will work.  Just have faith it will turn out as it should.  Three months away from the next surgery (brachio, bl/ba).  Kind of an exciting time.  Did anyone gain a lot of weight overnight?  Per my records, I gained 4+ lbs. since I went in yesterday before surgery.  Is it just swelling or trauma that holds on to fluids? I was told in my post-surgery records to drink a gallon of water.  Am used to 64 oz but not twice that much.  Will do the best I can.  Will post pics as soon as I can see well enough to do so.  Have a 4 hour trip home tomorrow.

Sorry for not replying sooner..just got home.  Had a minor complication (excessive swelling) and had to go back and make sure it wasn't a hematoma.  It wasn't so really relieved.  I researched out of country and while ok with the docs doing surgery..not comfortable with the countries where it was performed.  Kind of unstable right now.  I am from southern Oregon and had surgery in Portland.  Cost was very reasonable there..probably 3-4000 less than here.  Also, the drs. are more competitive.  Having to travel 4 or more hours is kind of hard but I think my surgeon is very competent and caring so I think it was worth it.  He and his partner do a lot of bariatric patients and I think that is important as well.  Swelling is starting to come down but now I am a lovely shade of yellow and green.  Left eye is still bright red and it is kind of strange looking with the contrast green iris...could do a scary movie!  I did have a subcutaneous forehead lift with stitches across the top of my forehead.  Bangs will cover it..hope scar fades. The stitches around my ears aren't going to be very visible. Good luck with your research.
