Hi everyone. Well, here we are. I feel like I am going stir crazy in this house. I wanna go to Target or sumthin!

I am not a good house-bound person.
I need to go out.
But alas...I tire easily and it is about 900 degrees outside...so I am still in.

Things are good. Incisions are good. JP output is light. Only using Tylenol for pain now.
Wearing my binder but I am miserable in it. Think I will try a tank top under it or something.
It is itchy and it bunches up because I am short waisted. Ugh.

I am moving around easily. Pacing alot.

Not too much swelling except in my upper abdomen.

Actually put on some boxers today as I have been commando since Monday. But these damn drains make everything a challenge. It is easier to go without!

All in all, a smooth recovery. If I play my cards right, my partner said she will take me to Target tonight to walk. Plus there is a Starbucks in there!!

I am still not eating. I got on the scale and am dropping weight like crazy. I know I need protein and hydration so I am using Oh Yeahs to keep my numbers up. But my pouch has shrunk to nothing. I just can't eat much right now. But I keep trying.

So, thats it. progressing...resting...drinking...and pacing!!

TTYL guys!

Not much nutrition in Oh Yeah - why not do some good protein smoothies in the blender?  It is so good on a hot day.  Drink lots of fluids - for me it was water and ice tea.  I also made meals with greek yogurt, protein powder and SF syrups.

You have to have protein to heal.  I wasn't hungry either and I lost weight, but still kept protein to 130 gm a day for healing.

I wore a mens sleeveless tee shirt under my binder and it really helped.  Your appetite will slowly return and so will some of the weight.  Keep up with your good habits and eating program.

Hope the walking helps..
I'm a knitter - so I enjoyed my "down" time.

Hi Penny. I have been using the Oh Yeah RTDs...32 grams a pc. I thought I was doin pretty good havin two a day in addition to whatever food I choke down. The binder makes it hard. I take a few bites and I am done.

But yesterday I started having my daily 4 oz hamburder patty again. 2 boiled eggs for brekky. 2 Oh yeahs RTDs. Ended the day at 1000 cals and 100 of protein.

But I keep aspiring to do better each day!!

Thanks for the note!

You doing okay?

2 weeks ago I just paced the house too.  I can't stand just sitting around but I had to have a cardiac cath with angioplasty at that time so that put me back in the recliner not allowed to do anything for another week.

Today I had fun, now that I am allowed to wear a garment or spanx I feel almost normal.  Pain is just about gone except in the PM when I swell and have some pressure and my back starts to hurt cause I am working on my posture.

I wear garment during day and binder at night.  Today is the worst swelling I have ever had but I was out shopping trying on cloths from 12 moon to 8 PM and it was fun.  But I am now in pain and swollen awlful.

So back to recliner, took two percocets, increasing water this PM and drank another 40 gram protein shake.  Should be good to go in AM.

Do not push your self but do get out so you don't go crazy lol.

Sounds like you are doing well overall!  I remember week 2 was just kind of 'crappy' for me.  I felt much better with regard to the pain, but I still couldn't do everything I wanted or needed to do.

I'm jealous that you don't want to eat or cannot eat, lol!  I wish that would have happened to me.  I ate more because I was so bored being stuck at home.

But the resting, drinking, and pacing are all what will heal you so keep it up!!!

Take care!
