OK so I'm starting my journey and going to different consults I am in need of a tummy tuck and breast lift with augmentation...Soooo I had two different ones and the first one wants to do a circumferential with a breast lift and silicone implants but the second wants to do an anchor with a breast lift and saline implants....So my question to everyone isssssssss...... anchor to pull me tighter in the middle or circumferential and risk a boxy shape but no cut up the middle? and which type of implant is better as I'm a little worried about rippling with the saline yet worried about rupture on a silicone? Come on OH family give me your advice!!!!

I lost over 200 pounds and always thought I'd need an anchor cut. My surgeon did not and I am still curvy. One thing I would check on is how high does your surgeon make his/hr incisions from the tummy tuck. I've noticed looking at pictures here, many surgeons make really high incisions. My lbl incision is very low. I can wear a bikini bottom or low rise jeans with no fear of it showing. If that matters to you, look at the surgeons before/afters to see where the scar placement is.

Take a look at my pics, I didn't have an anchor cut. I had silicone implants cause I liked the feel and they look more natural to me, but I didn't have a lift and didn't want a large implant. So depending on what you want as an end result, I know of people that are happy with both types of implants. Make sure the surgeon you chose has experience with massive weight loss as our skin responds differently. Good luck!

That is true. Ask them to show you before/afters when you go for consults. My surgeon showed me a lot of before afters of people my size and shape. That's what you need to see.

I chose plastic surgeon who specialized in body sculpting after massive weight loss.

I had fleur de lis (anchor cut).  I've had 5 open abdominal surgeries and the anchor cut was the most extensive and most painful.  Depends on what you need done- where  you have the excessive skin.  Vertical sculpting below breasts and at waist can be manipulated better with anchor cut.  But, I hear less pain and easier recuperation from those with circumferential.

I have no experience with breast surgery, so can't help there.  I just wear good support padded bra and that is good enough for me.

Best wishes.
