Alive and Kicking!

Hi everyone. Well, I made it.
TT/Fleur de Lis on Monday.
Took off 15 pounds of belly.

My procedure was a day surgery but I did not get released until 9 pm because I had severe nausea and wretching that they had trouble getting ahold of. Finally Phenergan did the trick. Geez, it was awful. I felt like I was gonna keel over.

Anyway, really did not get out of bed yesterday except to go to the bathroom, empty drains and take more pain med. I am very very tired still.

I have 2 JPs. I have the OnQ pump which is great. And I am wearing a binder.

Going in for my first shower here in a little bit. I can't wait.

No real pain really. Just a burning sensation across my abd. Between the OnQ and the Norco, it is quite manageable. I have been sleeping in my bed with the wedge pillow and getting up/down by myself without any issues.

My partner will help me shower...just in case.

Drains are putting out 50-60 cc in 8 hrs.

I have my first postop appt tomorrow and my surgeon said he would probably remove one drain at that time.

Very small drsgs on. Everything is dry and super-glued at this point.

I will get a good look at my belly when I strip down for my shower. But I already like what I see. No more hangy-down bits.

I caught a glimpse of my mons and I am diggin it!

Just wanted to let you know I was okay.

Will post more later...maybe some pics too!

Thanks for the well wishes!!
