turning the corner
well today is the best I have felt. Tommorrow my last drain comes out and I will be 4 weeks out friday. I am not as sore today and I am starting to feel normal. I was not a good patient, I was very blue for awhile thinking I would never feel good again,. I post this for those who have the same feeling. this too shall pass. I am going back to work next week and now I am not worried.
I wasn't depressed, but had no stamina or energy. I went back to work at 8 weeks, but was tired until between month 3 & 4, when it seemed to all come together. Age may have played a big part, I'm not a spring chicken. Now, I'm out dancing and having fun, not acting my age at all! It must me the new body and face!

So nice to hear you are feeling better. I hated those drains. I am 4 weeks out, my drains came out at 2.5 weeks out and I thought that was great. I still get sharp pains and I ache in my left side.
I am only taking 2 percocet in late afternoon when swelling starts then at bedtime. I tried staright up tylenol and I thought I would die lol.
I too got a little blue at 2 weeks out but then again I was back in the hospital getting a angiogram/plasty done because I started having coronary spasms. Needless to say I aggitated and they had to apply pressure on my abd right over my surgical area and it bruise me so I am having pain longer than I thought I would.
Each week seems to turn a new corner. Keep your head and keep posting. There is a great bunch of ppl on this board that will be here to support you and talk you through your pain everytme.
