Has anyone been able to deduct their expenses from plastic surgery on their taxes?

I was curious since most of us seem to be self pay. If anyone has looked into or actually deducted medical expenses from their plastic surgery on their taxes. If insurance doesn't cover it and alot of us seem to have letters from health care professionals saying it is medically necessary to have this work done anyways.

I was self pay for RNY and Lower Body Lift 3 years post RNY. I deducted all expenses including travel to and from and motel stays as well as post op visits to my surgeon 220 miles away.

That's encouraging to here, I did deduct my WLS 2 years ago and that went through ok. I don't want to flagged by IRS but maybe I will give it shot as I have nothing to lose hopefully.

Thanks

I did see a post here recently where someone said their ps was claimed with no issue. They just had a letter of medical necessity.

My accountant said I just needed a letter from the surgeon - I deducted my thigh and breast lifts.  My TT was covered by insurance.
