8 weeks post op LBL!
I think it comes down to aesthetics for the most part. I told my surgeon that I wanted the best possible result with a nice flat belly and if he needed to do a vertical incision to attain that, he had my permission. Plus, it is one more incision to heal, etc. He told me he'd decide what to do when I was in surgery and I woke up with it, but strongly suspected it'd need to be that way anyways.
A lot of people just don't want the line running down their belly.
We talked about extending the vertical part up even further and incorporating it into a breast lift scar eventually. I really just want to look good in clothes. And I think I do!
Scars fade anyways.

Oh wow, you are healing so nicely! He did a lovely job.
When things look/feel healed is when you need to be careful. After 6 months I was doing yoga and felt something internal from the tummy tuck go "sproing!". When they say to give is a full year to resume some things, I guess they mean it.

You look great! I'm about to take the plung into plastics too soon. Thanks so very much for sharing with us.
