Anyone have Anchor TT & Arms done at the same time?
So I'm scheduled to have my anchor tt & arms done at the end of Nov. I'm really excited but kind of nervous as well. Mostly wondering what recovery will be like. I have 3 weeks booked off at work but I live alone so trying to figure out what I will need & if/how long I will need help. Will I be able to shower or go to the bathroom myself? Also wondering how bad the pain was.
I'd really appreciate if anyone could share their experience with me. Any tips would be so appreciated!!
Thansks! :)

I had exactly that last October. I was in hospital for 1 night. My husband stayed home with me for the next two days ...but was in and out on errands etc. He was arround for when I showered and to make meals.
I was off work for a little over 2 weeks (desk job). A few days before i returned to work, I went on an all day shopping trip with my MIL - and I drove. So I was more than ready to go back to work! The only thing that was restricted was lifting. Really important with the arm scars to avoid heavy lifting while things heal.
If you make food ahead you should be pretty fine by yourself after the first few days. Make sure you don't have to do too much cleaning up etc. But being alone means you don't have to clean up after anyone else!
My pain was not bad...arms didn't really hurt at all. TT hurt for the first 4-5 days or so.

Thanks for replying Erica! Glad to hear that it isn't too bad of a recovery. I know everybody has different pain tolerance but I feel like it shouldn't be too painfull for me. I had no trouble when I had my VSG done, was off pain meds 2 days after surgery so hoping this goes as well (I know I'll be on pain meds longer but I hope my recovery goes as well) It's also nice to know I prob won't need help in the bathroom! I'm not married so not sure how my boyfriend would feel about that! lol I'm going to see if one of my sisters will stay with me for a day or so. I have 3 weeks booked off & also have a desk job so that should be lots of time.
Thanks again! I can't wait!

Boyfriend no doubt. My HUSBAND was grossed out, and he's seen me at my worst. lol
I am a "tough cookie" - similar recovery from my VSG. I was surprised at how much I hurt on day 3- but it was tolerable. Like, I didn't DIE from it or anything lol.
Now, if my husband would have had that done...I might have wished he did die rather than listen to all the wailing and crying lol.. Or at least stayed in hospital to bother the nurses instead. ;0)

Can't offer any advice but I'm scheduled for a circumferential and brachioplasty in November. I think I'm taking 6 weeks off. I work in logistics so It's alot of opening and closing simi doors.
My husband will be off the first week with me, being that I might not be wiping my own butt!!!

Erica, seriously... you were able to take care of your bathroom needs all by yourself. I guess I would think that the reaching behing movement would be a no no.
I run as well, so hoping this benifits my recovery as well. Thanks.

I had LBL, BL, arms, and medial thigh lift. I was in the clinic for 7 nights, but managed my own bathroom runs. I did have help with my showers for the first 2 weeks. My first shower at home was ok, just had problems getting back into my abdominal garment by myself. Reaching was out of the question, can't stretch and you don't want to. Move everything you might need within easy reach. Like my saran wrap was on top of the cabinet...
Lifting was also out, my daughter made my Sams club runs and Pets Mart for dogfood.
My arms hurt more than the rest. The bra/arm garment was tight, and my forearms hurt. I ended up using a heating pad on both morning and night. Everything else was numb!
I couldn't bend over to pick stuff off the floor until I was 3+ weeks out. The puppy toys just stayed where Libbee left them.
I took off 8 weeks, but had more done and was 58 when I had surgery.
