Ditto to everything Amy said!  I couldn't have lived w/o saltines, and for some reason I craved oranges.  Would make myself eat a little yogurt throughout the day.  Just really had no appetite until day 4, then all day I nursed a can of chicken noodle soup.  Hubby had to go buy a walker for me while I was in the hospital.  Had read a couple posts about needing one, but oh no..........I thought I wouldn't need one..........WELL!  I did, couldn't have made it w/o it!  Good luck!  My next round of surgery is this Friday, yikes!  So looking forward to getting rid of these batwings!

Oh wow, I didn't use ANYTHING!  lol

I sat in a regular living room chair and propped my feet up on a coffee table with pillows.

I did make sure to clean my apartment top to bottom before surgery.

My surgeon has a pretty unorthodox post op instruction of not changing dressings.  He just puts antibiotic strips and dressing over everything, zips you up, and tells you not to touch anything for a week.  That was such a relief to not have to worry about getting in and out of my garment while I was in so much pain.  For the people that do need to change dressings, a lot of people like using maxipads on the incisions or gauze strips.

At night I propped up every pillow I owned on my bed and put a couple under my knees.

My cravings were greek yogurt, frozen pineapple, grapes, and trail mix.

I didn't need a walker or a toilet seat riser.  I really didn't think it was that painful to sit on the toilet, personally.

All I needed was my percoset, soma, and a personal slave.  LOL

I was at the clinic for a week, then the hotel for a week.  After I got home, I was able to sleep in my waterbed.  Picking stuff off the floor had to wait for almost a week.  I moved pretty slowly and with my arms done, didn't do any real reaching.  It hurts to stretch, move stuff that you need.  The one thing that I needed in the clinic was pads for the leakage from the drains.  All they had was gauze and liquid just leaks out.  Once I got to the hotel there were pads and it made the leakage at least contained.  I'd had a lot of lipo of my mons area and even though there were 3 drains, I was getting a lot of seepage.

Having foods that are easy to eat and prepare, microwave, toaster oven, etc.  I was also adding 2 double protein shakes daily, keeping my protein level around 200g/day.  I also started 4-6 weeks before surgery with 175-200 g/daily.  I kept up the added protein until month 4 or so.
