I say go for it, if it's what you want.

You already look great, but every single person on earth can tell you "you're beautiful!" but if YOU don't feel like you are, then it doesn't mean much.

I'm having a breast lift/augmentation in 3 weeks, after losing around 140lb from my highest weight. People see me now and say "You don't need plastic surgery, don't be silly, you look great!". BUT they aren't the ones who have to deal with the flap of skin that hangs down from where I used to have a huge gut. They don't have to deal with their breasts almost touching their bellybutton when they take their bra off. Yeah, I look good with my clothes on. But nobody else knows the whole story, only you do. People might think they're being nice when they say "don't do that, you're great as you are" but it can actually invalidate your feelings after a while. It's ok to acknowledge that you have areas that YOU want to improve.

So do it. Do it for you, and nobody else.

You look pretty awesome.  I cannot believe your age.  My body is a train wreck after losing 170 pounds.  I agree with everyone else.  Losing the wt made me feel so much better and gave me life but just having a ventral hernia repair, abd wall repair with panniculectomy / anchor cut TT sent me to the moon.  I am only 3 1/2 weeks post-op and I am already playing with different cloths and having a ball.

Now I want my thighs done, upper arms and a brst lift lol.

I say if you can afford it, go for it.  The prize is just so wonderful.  You will be the person you want to be.

Thank you all for your sweet compliments and comments.  Yes, I am 54 years have had 3 babies, one by c-section and nursed all three for about a year, have gained and lost tons of weight over my adult lifetime, so my body has been abused and it shows!  Believe me when I take my clothes off I know I need plastic surgery!  LOL    Thank you all again for your input and encouragement.  My hat goes off to each of you who have been brave enough to have plastic surgery.  I will need your help when the times comes for my surgery.  Until then, I will continue to read your posts here on this board.

I say if you want plastics...GET THEM! For me getting plastics was my gift to me for all my hard work. For every treat, pizza, Birthday cake, brownie, candy bar, bag of chips, or buffet I skipped. To make me feel like my weight loss journey was complete.

You are BEAUTIFUL the way you are...right now! I think plastic are something we truly do just for us. That's why I did mine, husband could have cared less about my hanging skin or sagging breast. But even six weeks out my confidence level is threw the roof!

This is the first time I can look in a mirror and be THRILLED with what I see. Even as swollen as I still am I feel so much better. I'm not afraid to wear a pair of skinny jean with a short shirt. Or a bathing suit! Finally the loose skin I would tuck into my underwear is GONE!

If you want to do this for you and you alone...DO IT!
