Hi all. I’ve been reading for a couple months and appreciate your posts.  I've lost 209 pounds (5 pounds past goal) through diet and am planning extensive plastics after I’ve maintained for a while.   I’ll have many questions. Here is one:   Did your surgeon identify a threshold of weight change that might impact your results, eg gaining or losing x pounds might effect results of LBL or TT or other surgery?  Thanks so much!

My doctor did not.  He made general comments that some people lose more weight because they see their flat stomach (or whatever improved body part) and want to keep it that way.  But my weight hasn't really changed.  I admit I don't have the best habits though.  I'm on the road daily and eat out too much, etc.

I've heard people say that if you gain weight, it comes back in different places.  I don't know if that's true or not.  I haven't heard anything about losing...

I won't likely find out about losing more and I have no intention of finding out about gaining, lol!!!

Hi - mine said that you have a threshold of about 5kgs before it makes much of a difference.

Hope this helps & good luck

Thanks.  Very helpful. I assumed that losing weight would negatively impact results as much as gaining weight but had no idea what that window might be. All the more reason to be certain that this is the right weight for me.   Anyone’s surgeon suggest other than 10sh pounds?
