Walking is great!  My doctor wanted me walking immediately, although not strenuously.  I walk every morning with my neighbor and I started picking up the pace at about a month out.

Listen to your body!  I still have some discomfort / weird feelings with some exercises because my body is tighter in certain areas.  But I agree - it's a huge blessing!!!

All the best to you!

I had a panniculectomy and I'm 14 days out. Nothing like a full tummy tuck...so be careful if it's much more of a procedure. Hope the info helps.

Wow!!!!!  You doctor authorized you to walk already that is great!    My doctor told me no exercise for 5 weeks and then start out slow until I build myself back up.  Then when I got to 5 weeks I had some seepage on the side from a busted stitch.  So, he said no exercise for another 4 weeks.

It's been 8 weeks and I have an appointment on 8/30.  If he doesn't release me for exercise then, he is short because I feel horrible not exercising.  Take care of yourself and enjoy your walks.

I had hernia repair and my panni done 13 days ago and my doctor got me up 16 hrs after surgery and stood outside my door and made me do 5 laps around the hospital wing. Day 4 I was told to walk 15 minutes the minimum of 4 times daily. So as long as I don't feel funny I do just that. Ifeel almost 100%. Jst itchy in this binder.

I had fleur de lis abdominoplasty with major resculpting & brachioplasty 11 weeks ago (and complication of tissue necrosis with large open wound - now closed.)  I'm sure the complication makes a difference - but I went for a 20 minute walk last week and was miserable with tight, achy belly for 3 days.

I still can't lift over 15# or take long walks.  I just keep adding a little more into my day to gain back strength and endurance.

Wel u had complications so that is different. I had a slight infection in my wound so there is a little hole that will have to close on its own. Other than that I make sure to rub my legs if I am not active because it was pouring here for days. Take it little by little. At first I can only do 1 lap around the hospital wing, and my PS sat in a chair and watched and told me I would regret it if I didn't push myself, as long as it wasn't painful not because I was tired. He stressed if it was too painful to stop and lay down.

I hope it gets better. I am now 13 days out and I walk the dogs for 25 minutes 3 times a day. I don't hold the leashes, I am forced to either take the kids to hold the dogs or leave the dogs loose.

I restarted my 2 mile walks at week 4.  The doctor said I shouldn't run until about 8 weeks.  He said I shouldn't lift weights until 7 weeks.  I had the fleur de lis (full TT), lipo, breast lift and implants.  Things get tight for me late in the afternoon/evening too. I walked today 2 miles with my kids and dog and I found this week was much better.
