Size change after surgery...

I am curious as to how many clothing sizes (if any) most people drop after surgery.  I am planning on having a LBL, extended brachiopasty (to include the skin on my sides of my ribs, a breast lift and thigh lift.  I have 10 lbs left to lose and am now a size 14 (I am 6'2") I was hoping to end up in a 12.  Do y'all think it is probable that I will drop a size after all of those surgeries?  I know everyone is different, but I would love to hear you individual experiences with size changes after surgery.  Thanks!!

I was wearing tight 14's going into surgery.  I can now wear a 10 easily.  Somedays a 10 is a little big, but by the end of the day & the swelling settling in, they fit a little tight.  the main place I swell now is my right thigh & upper stomach, weird.  I'm having the arms & breast down next week & can't wait.  Even w/just the lower body work, I've lost 20 lbs & ALL my tops are huge on me.  Made QUITE a difference in my shape.

You will probably drop a size. Right now I am a size bigger than I was pre-op (from a 6 to an 8) due to swelling. I am only 7 weeks out so I'm still hopeful I'll at least get down to my original size.

It really depends on the individual, and how much the ps removes and tightens.  I'm still in the recovery/swelling stage so for me it looks like one size.

I'm still wearing the same size as pre op (size 6).  They do fit much looser - but at 11 weeks post op from fleur de lis abdominoplasty and brachioplasty - I really don't want tight fitting pants.  I still have 3/4 sleeves to cover the silicone strips on incisions on my arms.

I understand the TT swelling can last for up to a year - so time will tell what size I wear.  I'm very happy with my results and don't really care about the size.  I have lost 5 pounds since plastics, but don't know if that will "stay off".  I was at goal pre op, so just keep eating what I'm suppose to and will see what happens.

Best wishes.

It really varies from person to person. It depends on how much skin is removed and how much tightening and contouring is done. It's not uncommon to at least drop a size. Others drop more than that.

I'm still in the same size and just shy of 3 months post-op.  I was in a 6/8 before and am wearing the same pants now and don't notice any difference.   I do still have swelling during the day, but I don't think I'm going to go down a size.  I'm fine with that.  I don't want to me a size 4.  :)

You can see my before and after pics in my profile if you want.  I had just under 6 pounds removed.  Of course I did a really good job of keeping all that excess sucked in via spanx before.
