Surgery tomorrow ... drama queen alert!

So tomorrow I have my long anticipated TT & LBL - paralyzed with fear and don't even know why! As some of you know my surgery was rescheduled b/c of a low ekg which turned out to be fine after a 2nd ekg (still low but not AS low) and cardiologist visit.  There are so many things I need to be doing today and don't know where to begin - a product of procrastination which makes it completely overwhelming.  I am hanging close to this PS forum b/c for some reason reading it relaxes me.  So if you are reading this and have a free moment to write your words of wisdom they will be greatly appreciated!!!  -- Carolyn

You worked so hard to get to this point in your life. You deserve to do this for yourself.
I have not had PS yet, but I am planning for Jan or Feb of 2012.
I want to have a LBL. I am also scared but just think of the results.
I am still looking for a PS, where do you live?

I live in Philadelphia and Dr. Paul Glat is doing my surgery - he's in Bala Cynwyd and did an excellent job w/ chin-liposuction about a month ago (phase 1)!  You're right I've worked damn hard to get to this point and I can't stand it when people look at me (in clothes) and tell me I don't need this... ha

Its gonaa be over before you know it. You will get there, change into a robe. Dr. might take some pre-op pics, draw some lines on you. You will have time to go over any last minute questions. They will take you into the surgical center, insert an IV into your arm and they will ask you questions, maybe small talk, then the next thing you know you are waking up in recovery and it's done! No worries. You have nothing to be scared or nervous about. I wasn't, I was just anticipating how much pain I was gonna be in. But I'm now 4 days out and I feel a lot better than I did at days 2-3.

Awww yes he is. He's actually a Belgian Malinois and he's a handful. He's super-hyper. You are going to do good. Don't be nervous or scared. There will be pain, but like everyone has been telling me it will subside little by little each day, and it's true. Yesterday I was miserable, today I am semi-miserable. So, there you have it. No worries, all will turn out good. Hang in there, good luck, and keep us posted.

I am on for next Monday and can already feel the anxiety welling up.

I have made lists, shopped, prepared my 7 yo daughter and partner for the post op scenario.
But I am not sleeping worth a crap.
I worry about complications, recovery, money, world peace...the whole bit!!

Be positive. Remember all the work that went into this next step of the journey. It is gonna be awesome!

i'm there with ya!  my surgery (TT) is 9/6....3 weeks from tomorrow!  oh my gosh!!!  getting really nervous.....tomorrow is the point of no return (i'm going to the PS office to pay for the procedure!  i scared....i'm excited......i'm nervous about spending that much money on my tummy.....and as you said....world peace....the weather.....on and on and on......

i could just throw up for just a little bit!!!!  oh my gosh!!!

now that i've got you totally stressed......know i'll certainly be praying for a speedy recovery for you!!  you'll look awesome!!!
