I'm thinking of having Dr. Sauceda do my plastics.  I would love to hear stories, both positive and negative about your experiences. What work did you have done and how many trips did it take for you?  I'd also appreciate any picture sharing if you're comfortable.

Thanks for sharing!

I suggest visiting his message board. Type Dr. sauceda in the search and it will take you there.

I'd also like to go to him for a TT and BA, but my family is leary of going to monterray right now. The violence is getting increasingly bad. We live in Houston and here personal stories of kidnapping and killings, so it's worrisome!

HE seems like a great doc, though.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I've been posting on his board for a little while now and I've already had emails from Dr. S.  I thought there might be others here on the PS that could share stories.  From what I've heard from people that have been to Monterrey, they are saying that we are in a very safe part of town.

Yea, I see them raving about the 'safety', but just call me paranoid

I have Mexican friends from monterrey that have not been back to visit due to the violence. The violence has really spread into Monterrey over the last yr. It's just not worth the risk -- for me.

My mom works with a woman whose neighbors went to visit...in the week that they were there, their 15 yr old was kidnapped.

It's just a very risky time for Mexico.

I also had already talked to Dr. S & had a date.  The more time got closer, the more leary I got.  I finally checked in to the Baylor residency program @ Houston & went thru there.  The fact that Dr. S could do "everything at once" appealed to me.  The doctors here in the US won't do that, usually because of the anesthesia differences.  After now having had my first surgery & my second scheduled for 8/26, I CANNOT imagine having gone thru all that at one time!  I know people have & talk positively about it, but I can't imagine it.  Good luck in your journey.

Cyndi, the all at once really appeals to me as well.  It's a tough decision to make.

I considered him for a bit, but one of the issues I had with him was reading stories from several of his former patients where he said he'd do their implants under the muscle and then when they woke up they were over the muscle.  One patient was even having to fly back out to get some breast issues revised from his implants.  I don't think I'd come across any stories where he actually did them under the muscle.  So, if you want implants and you want them under the muscle, I wouldn't go to him for that.

I hear he's great with everything else, though.

I also recommend you check out his forum where you can talk with his former patients.

Good luck!

Hi Becky, I read that about the implants.  I'm looking to have a BL but not implants.  At this point I'm still maintaining DD cups.  Not sure how, but I am.

Lee - I considered Dr S - mainly because he could do EVERYTING cheaper than any US surgeon could do and was highly recommended.

I did my TT here because the insurance covered it.  I ended up doing my BL/BA here because the price was comparable to Dr S.  BUT - it would have been nice to have it all done at once.

Now - I was considering if I did my LBL - I'd go to Dr S.  I too am concerned about the violence there and that was one reason I stayed put.

I know people have gone there and have had no issues.  Its a very hard decision to make.

Hi Jody!!  I'm glad to hear that you were considering Dr. S for a LBL.  That's the reason I am leaning towards him, the LBL and the results he gets, as well as multiple procedures.  If I was retired and could do several surgeries, I might feel differently about it.

I worry about the violence, but live in what has always been considered one of the most violent cities in America.  I know that in any city there are areas where violence is more prevalant and from everything I've read, the clinic area is not one of them.  If I had to, I would stay in the hotel and never go out.  I'm not worried about violence in the airport or in the clinic.  I doubt that Dr. S is working on the drug lords.

I may keep asking your opinions!!
