Has anyone tried using a marble to round out their belly button after a tummy tuck/lbl? I hope mine will round out when my swelling goes down. I would really like a rounder belly button...

Interesting.... No, I wasn't too worried about mine.  In fact, I don't even know what mine looks like - I guess I don't pay attention to it!

Ewww - now I look at it, its pretty ugly - LOL.  It is round though.  Almost looks like I'm getting an "outty"...

I think putting a marble in it would hurt - mine looks pretty small.

Thanks, Jody. You made me laugh. I like mine, but it's just a slit. I want it rounder and plan on showing it off when my swelling goes down a bit more. I e-mailed Dr.LoMonaco and will see what he says.

Mine did start out as a slit, then rounded out.  I didn't do anything to it but ignore it...

I think your BB is already nice..it doesn't look too long or out of shape...My BB is long and
DEEEEEEP..!! I have to clean it with a Q-tip to make sure it's really clean...but I still prefer the one now, more than the one before...I'm afraid I would lose the marble and have to have my surgeon remove it if I stuck a marble in there...LOL!! It's that deep..!!

Intresting article and idea..!

LOL, I was going to say the same thing, that I'd be afraid of losing the marble in there!  Maybe not so much once I have a LBL.

Super funny!  I was just looking at mine as it is heeling nicely, but I was thinking how narrow it is!  Some of the scab just fell off today and it is long and narrow.  I assumed it was b/c of swelling!

I have to say the first time I saw it I thought it was super high (like a thrid boob!), but it has moved into a much more normal area!  I guess it was swelling! LOL!  The whole "new" belly button thing kind of cracks me up to start with!

It cracks me up, too, Amy!! My six year old pulls hers up and down so it looks like a slit like mine. I also was worried about the placement of mine, but after looking at a zillion pics and researching, it is supposed to be lined up with the hip bones, so mine is actually placed correctly...lol. I guess all those years it sagged skewed my frame of reference.

I don't have a belly button as my TT ws a T-cut  (but not fleur) and have had previous stomach ops (from before laparoscopy) so I specifically asked to not be given a new bb after reading here on Plastics how some developed seromas. I'm not exactly  "attached" to my bb and now for sure I'm not as I am Thank G-D already after.

not sure how it will work but I do know there was a woman on here who's Dr. put a marble in her BB. Mine is a slit but still better than all the skin hanging down.
