Microdermabrasion? (Warning...maybe TMI)
Has anyone had microdermabrasion? How long did it take you to heal? Was it painful? Any anesthesia needed? What were your results?
I have these little bumps on my face. They look like whiteheads, but they are solid. I can't "pop" them, but ( and I know I shouldn't have) I took a (steralized) needle and gently inserted it into the skin underneath the bump and lifted the needle up and made an opening then squeezed the bump out. It was a little, solid, whitish ball. ( I know, TMI...I'm sorry)
I want to get rid of them and I wondered if dermabrasion would work.
Thanks for any info!

You have Milia - I would say!. I have ocassionally gotten these on my cheeks and I had one right on my lower lash line for well over a year before I finally did as you did - pierce it with a needle- uhhh that hurt like a you know what!
I don't know if Microdermabsion would work or not - but When I get a facial they ask what areas are bothering me and I bring them up and typically they use a lancet to removed them. I would think that the person doing the facial would take care of this for you provided it was not in a sensitive area ( like your eye )
LIke I said - I get these every now and again - it's not really acne but it is dead skin cells. If it's a chronc problem I would suggest seeing a derm.

hiiii ladies, microdermabrasion treatment is really effective if you are taking your treatment at a right place. choosing right device and its setting matters here as much as the skill of the physician, so i would say if you are taking microdermabrasion treatment then go only to a reputed clinic.
