Questions for you plastics vets

On Monday, 9/26, I will be having a necklift, breast lift (no implants) and a tummy tuck (scar from hip to hip) with Dr. Sauceda.

I will stay in Mexico for 2 weeks. I will then stay home for an additional 2 weeks. Dr. S. says this is fine. I have a desk job. Do you guys think 4 weeks is enough time to be off?  I'm thinking the tummy tuck will be the hardest surgery to recover from. I want to add that I have a very high tolerance for pain and generally heal/recover fairly quickly from surgeries.

I'm lucky enough to have a tempurpedic adjustable bed at home.
www.google.com/imgres  I'm hoping that's good enough to position myself and not need a recliner. Do you think I still need a recliner at home?

I will keep posting questions occasionally as they pop up in my head. Thanks for your help!

I don't have a huge pain tolerance and I sure hope that we are good with 4 weeks.  I am a teacher and the first day with students will be by 4th week exactly.  I am actually going back at 3 weeks out, but with no students so there will be an hour and a half break at the middle of the day for nap and meds, wound care, etc.  I have an AWESOME principal who is totally understanding and have 2 kids who are coming in to help me with room prep.  I should also sa that my PS was not concerned with my return to work schedule.  (I had abdominoplasty, medial thigh lift w/ lipo, and outer thigh lipo)

As far as the bed I would think you would be okay,  I know I did okay in the hospital bed, but I couldn't get my feet up on the bed.  (Heck, the recliner is a challenge to get my feet up too!)

Best wishes!  You'll do great!

I went back to work @ 4 weeks after my LBL & brachio and did ok. I have a desk job so it was pretty easy. The hardest thing was I think I got some type of flu bug my first day back so that drained me. Also I still had 1 drain remaining at that point and the production doubled the first few days back at work. I just took it really easy and everyone at work helped out by getting things off the printer and such so I didn't have to move around that much.

People at work will pitch in and help me (I'm sure, lol).

Thanks Sonnie!

I am a huge sissy, and I do not have a recliner either. I felt like I could work after a week. I feel totally normal now at 13 days. I know you Hun, and I think you will be fine! I am SO excited for you, and cannot wait to meet up after!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

Should be easy- since I don't have a closet anymore, my dresses are literally lining the hallway of my apt on racks, lmao!

I'm 2 weeks post op from a full TT and arm lift brachio plasty on 7/26 if I didn't have drain tubes i could go back to work if I had too!  but I'm going to take the entire month (keeping finger crossed no complications to come) . I had two c-sections so the abdominal pain is really no different except not being able to sit upright for a week (but you will be under doctors care for the worst part). With no complications i think you will be fine.  Make sure to take your vitamins with you i think it plays a great part in healing as well. Good Luck and Happy Healing!
