You need to provide more info.  How far out from bariatric surgery are you.  What kind of plastic surgery did you have.  How far post op are you?  What meds are you on? (Could cause itching).

Are  you a keloid former? (excessive large, bumpy, red scars?)

SOB?  Are you asthmatic, sleep apnea, heart problems?  Wouldn't know why you would be out of breath.

Would like to help, but need more info.

Well, no bariatric surgery...lost 107lbs through exercising and dieting along with some un-needed stress of life. Im 2 full days out from having my panniculectomy. Im taking Narco for pain and the antibiotic Keflex. My skin doesnt keloid and normally any scar I may get clears up pretty fast, just trying to be ahead of what I may need . I am asthmatic so im thinking that along with my body needing to recover fully from surgery, this Texas heat and the up and down so soon is whats causing the shortness of breath.

If you weren't short of Breath (SOB) before surgery, I wouldn't think you should be now.  The pain causes us not to take DEEP breaths because it hurts, but not be SOB.  If you are asthmatic - use your inhalers and a resuce inhaler if necessary.  I think I'd call a doctor about the SOB.  Be sure to walk frequently.

Are you taking any blood thinner?  SOB can be indication of pulmonary embolism.

Itching could be from narcotic or antibiotic.  Allergy or insentivity.  Try cold compresses or ice but make sure to put towel over incision and keep incision dry.

I've not had pannulectomy, so maybe someone that had one will be able to help you.  I had a fleur de lis tummy tuck and I didn't have itching.  I do have asthma but used my inhalers, stayed in the air conditioning, walked every hour and didn't experience any breathing problems.

Best wishes.

Are you SOB with standing or moving around? You may need to call your surgeon about that (seriously). I fainted twice after surgery standing up and my doc did blood work and my hgb had dropped to 6.5 . I have been taking benadryl for the itching , but after discussing my itchiness with my PS he said to place ice packs on my arm and my golly it woks. I would think its much to early for you to be using scar creams . Girl order you a good book and sit that tail down..lol Good Luck

The SOB is coming only when I move around toooo much. I realized I am trying to do to much and just need to rest. So from today on...im taking it as slow as I can. I am going to sit down, watch a couple of movies and maybe even do my hair(thats a day process anyway). Thanks wonderful ladies for your responses.

The first few days I did the deep breathing treatment with the plastic thing where you have to inhale and raise the thing inside it (not sure what it's called). That really helped my breathing get back to normal quickly. I was under anesthesia for 7 hours, which was a lot, and it took a long time for it to get out of my system.

I had BAD itching - I was on percocet (oxycodone). It was suggested I switch to Tylenol by my surgeon. I did - and the itching is gone. Not nearly as good for pain relief though!

One amazing word stopped my sleepless nights, from being awake due to the insane amount of itching I was having as well...BENADRYL! My plastic surgeon told me to take 50mg every six hours and I'll tell you that did the trick for me. I take it right before bed, and not only does it make me tired so I sleep better but not an itch to bug me. Hope this helps! I know how awful it is.
