5 weeks out
I'm still in yoga pants and haven't even tried jeans yet. I do take my measurements and I know I'm still swollen, so no point even trying yet. And I don't have any "fat" pants anymore. Keeping bigger sizes made it too easy to gain so I got rid of anything that was too big.
I go back to work in 2 weeks so I'm praying something will fit by then!!

Good to hear your progress. I saw plastic surgeon Friday for 2 month check - my open wound is almost closed. He gave me the OK to stop compression garments and slowly work up to normal lifting and exercise.
So far my exercise is rebuilting strength in belly without compression garments.! I really want to put them back on!! I feel like I hold my belly all day long.
I still have some swelling lower belly (pelvis) but can wear my jean capris.
It is too hot to go outside to walk. Follow your body - it tells us how much we can do.

So glad your wound is healing nicely, Penny. I was told I don't have to wear my compression garment, but am not ready to give it up!!
Next week I may switch to a Spanx-type garment (which is what my surgeon wants me wearing now), but I didn't really want to struggle pulling anything up over my butt, especially with my open wound. I like the hooks on my complression garment.

I have the same corset garment with hooks that you do. I really like it, too. I did wear firm control Spanyx briefs (they fit over the corset to the waist), also (mine were Bali brand.) I'm not wearing either now and it really makes my upper and lower belly "ache" from having to work my muscles without support.
When my "open wound" closes, I'm suppose to wear silicone strips on my scars. I don't know how I will hold them on. The ones on my arm won't stay on without support covering of some sort.
I'm thinking of a light compression garment with brief built in that has a "split crotch" for bathroom use - that way I'm not pulling it up and down (and pulling or dropping the silicone strips on floor, or worse yet - in toilet). They have them that go from under bra and extending into brief (or legs) - all one piece.
These garments aren't cheap and I doubt I will wear them much when I don't "have" to.
I will do before and after pics when this "wound" closes.
best wishes
