Don't really know, you'd have to call your insurance company to find out. However my guess would be no. Sounds like your company bought a package that has tough exclusions. You have a hard time finding insurance companies that will cover reconstructive surgery period even thought they cover the WLS 100%. Again how long you have to wait may be determined by your insurance company. Most will say 18 months or 2 years but need to have a stable weight for at least 6 months. That said I had my PS done @ 14 months out but had a stable weight for 6 months

My insurance did not cover my WLS as well BCBSofMA. They do cover plastics but I paid out of pocket for my arms and tummy because i wanted it know and no longer wanted to wait for the "right" documentation. I may start documents my back issues with the pcp so i can get a breast lift . I called member services and ask did my policy cove cost for medically needed cosmetic surgery, and the chick said yes. I even ask her to fax that to me. Gook Luck !

It's possible.  The only way you will know for certain is to contact your insurance company directly and ask about their clinical policy bulletin for reconstructive surgery.  Make sure you use the term "reconstructive" and not plastic or cosmetic.

The CPB will outline what is and isn't covered and what criteria you must meet in order to get what they do cover approved.

Good luck!
