IMPLANTS?!? I need input please!!

Now I going be be doing  a tummy tuck with liposuction and breast lift...

So anyhoo, I am posing a question about implants. I am having a lift and with a lift your breast get smaller..With the weight loss I went from a 40DD to a 36 D.and am in need of lifting these puppies up....the plastic surgeon is expecting I will be a C post op..I have a larger frame and am considering doing an implant also..my family and I are going in to speak with him again but I wanted to get some opinions from you ladies..I have heard that doing an implant with the lift gives a better result as no fullness can be returned to the top of the breast..I just dont want to regret not doing this properly..

Do you have an implant? Are you happy with it? Saline or Silicone? did you have a breast lift also? Gimme the scoop!!!

I feel your pain on questioning the implant.  Last October I had a TT and breast lift with every intention of having implants.  But the doc talked me out of it!!!!!!!  Pre weight loss I was a very full 42-44 D.  Post weight loss I was a 36D...and still am!!  Except that my nipples are actually on my chest now.

I am very happy with the results (and apparently DH is, too ).  I do not have the cleavage above the nipple line, but am very full and firm at and below the nipple line.  I can easily wear bandeau swim suits and not feel bad.

I was probably a 40DD pre RNY and after was a very flabby 36C. I had a lift and Dr. said I probably would have been a B or very small C w/o implants. I did go w/ implants because I didn't wan to be that small and also wanted the fullness on the top. I went w/ Silicone under the muscle.  My Dr. used very small implants and I'm completely happy w/ the results. The feel and look real and are in proportion w/ my body. Saline is another option but in my experience (a friend has them & we've compared) they are more fake looking and feeling.

So what is your cup size now, Sonya? What were the size of your implants? I want small implants to give me fullness on top again, but don't want to be "huge". Right now I'm between a b and c cup after my lift. I also want silicone. Thanks!!

Hey Laura, I was shooting for a full C but am not a D but it fits w/ my body. I think my implants are only 234cc  (I'll have to look at the registration card at home). My surgeon brought a couple different sizes of implants into the OR and tried them out. Said their was one just slightly bigger he could have used but once he put these in and sat me up he thought they looked good for my frame. Every once in a while I wish I had gone just a bit bigger but can get that effect by wearing a push-up bra if I want. Totally happy w/ the results I currently have.

Before my RNY my bra size was 50DDD. After I got to my goal weight, my bra size was 34DDD, but it was all skin. My breasts were horribly LONG! For people like me, my surgeon does breast work in 2 stages. First a breast lift, then implants 6 months later. He ways the inplants stay higher that way. I am thrilled with my lift (will be between a b and c cup when my swelling is all gone), but do miss the fullness on top. I have pictures posted on my profile (password is abc123). I hope to get implants next year, after I pay off this round!!

I had a BL with implants done at the same time this past January.  I was told without the implants I'd be a small large B... I was a 34 D to DD (depending ont he bra) before the BL/BA surgery, but it was just folding skin into a bra.

 I still now am a 34/36D to DD but I FULLY fill the cup myself.  I have always been big breasted and LOVE the fullness I have now.  Don't expect perfection though as my right one is a little bigger and still sits a little higher than the left, but only I can tell that. 

I also love that I can go without a bra (I'm 52) and not have my girls hanging around my belly button.  No one can tell when I go without a bra as they stand up pretty good on their own.  I wear a sports bra to bed now (just started doing that about 6 weeks ago) as laying on my back and side kinda pulled at the muscle.  It definitely helps and is more comfortable. 

I had silicone implants under the muscle.

I'm gonn copy and past my reply I just typed up a few minutes ago on here to a similar questions (cause i'm lazy like that LOL)

I just had a LBL and BL on the 20th and I had your same worry!!  Many years ago I was a 42DDD (prob actually bigger, that that was the largest bras I could find at the time - early 90s).  I had a Breast Reduction in '96 that took me to a 42C a very full C - but I LOVED them.  When I had my RNY in 12/08 I was worried what would happen to them.  My weight had fluctuated up and down since the reduction and I was about 65lbd heavier and in 44D's - but they were still pretty awesome  LOL

I made it down to 135lbs and my beauties melted into saggy chest pancakes with nipples..  Pre BL I was wearing 32D's, but the D was just to have a big enough container to keep them from slopping out the sides.  They didn't even fill the cups half full.

My PS swore that I had enough to have great breasts, but I had my doubts.  I have NEVER had boobs smaller than a C cup - I totally skipped training bras in HS.Well,  I'm now almost 2 weeks out from my surgery and convinced my PS is a mircle worker!!  He did a pretty sever lift, was able to keep my nipple in place (they still have sensation even!) and with the procedure he used of tucking in the excess skin and using hole drilled into my ribs to secure the tissue up - they look AMAZING!

I am wearing some old 36D bras during recovery and they fill them out beautifully.  Once the little bit of swelling goes down - I should be in a 32/34 C at a minimum.  I didn't want implats - and I really don't think i'll need them.

I got 525cc silicone implants with no lift.  Dr didnt think I needed the lift and I totally agree.  I am so happy with what I have now.  Saline feels very fake and the ones I did feel, felt just like water balloons.  Mine were also put under the muscle.  Feel very natural.  I am now a 38C.
