I'm four days since my full Tummy Tuck and Brachio plasty. Not in much pain at all. The only trouble I've experience is my drain tube has slits in it. called on call surgeon and he said just keep it clean and wrap with tape till Monday. What I am concerned about is maybe I didn't lose enough weight? when the DH changed my binder to wash the original one my tummy looks round not flat at all not even at the top. I know there is "some" swelling but the only change i feel is the panniculs(sp) is gone and I'm still going to need a revised tummy tuck. Did anyone else feel this way? Is it the pain meds making me think crazy (so I hope). Shed some light.

I was really swollen from day one, but still felt like my stomach looked "flat" (not sure that makes sense, but it's how I felt). I was very emotional the first few days, so maybe that is what you're feeling right now. Things will get better as you get your strength back!! At 4.5 weeks out, I feel really good right now. Hang in there!!

Not that I am really any help as I am only 3 days out, but I too feel round.  As a matter of fact, I have more "stomach"  from mons all the way to boobs.  I used to have a very defined waiste which is currently very swollen.  I changed my dressings this morning and it appears I have a balloon in my stomach.  I am REALLY hoping this is normal.

I am only 5 days out, but I look flat.. Just swollen all over kinda. I am sure you are just swelling up... Don't despair!

Did you have anchor cut or circumferencial cut??

I had fleur de lis (anchor cut - mid hip on L to mid hip on R and then up from pubic bone to between boobs.)

I'm 8 weeks post op.  My tummy was flat above and below belly button until drains came out and then below belly button became swollen & rounded.

I had terrific pain (even with a pain pump) for the first week.  Hubby had to help me for first 10 days.  Then every day became much better.  It is hard with arms and belly both done. (I had massive sculpting muscle work and at 8-9 weeks post op - my belly still "aches.")

I notice a much smaller waist.  I couldn't wear my jeans until 1 month post op.  When I started wearing compression garments, instead of abdominal binder, then I could button waist of my jeans.

I didn't weigh myself until all drains were out.  Up your protein and water intake to help heal.  Stay off feet yet do your walking.  I had a 5 pound weight lifting restriction.

Best wishses.

SC i had circumferential extended to buttocks. No real bad pain I pop a pill every 6 hrs arms starting to feel heavy and tight but not painful. I learned about staying off my feet tried to go to bathroom by self before hubby came from basement fell straight to the floor legs so wobbly still.

Well - flat is relative, I think ... LOL

From pics I took from the side, I can definately see a huge difference in what he cut off my belly.  To me it looks super flat, but when my PS looked at me at my 1st check-up (5 days post-op) he was a little disappointed at the swelling amount and said that while I was on the table it was as flat and tight as a board.

So I can see my feet without leaning over and so I am OK - but he says I'm not as flat as I was on the table..

Relative??
