I read advice here to keep everything you will need at waist level.  This makes me wonder, how do you wipe your butt???

-thanks, Jenny

Lifting my arms up was a problem the first couple weeks. I had no problem moving my arms down.

It wasn't a problem at all for me. Like laura said, it's the reaching up and stretching too far that you need to be careful about. The closer you keep your arms to your sides the better.

Oh geesh, I had it all wrong.  I thought you had to keep your arms out to the side like chicken wings.

I'm only four days post op Brachio plasty and honestly I have no problems wiping . I actually brushed my own hair in a ponytail to go to the doctors office (the DH had my looking crazy...lol) my arms have not been painful at all so far. Just really tired.
