X-post: Plastics consult today--there is hope!
Had a really wonderful consult today!! The doctor spent well over an hour with me. Really lovely fellow--literally and figuratively. It is Dr. Vela in Columbia, MD. Would have prefered some old, ugly sucker to be tugging on my rolls, but he did not make me feel self concious one little bit.
The long story short is that he said I am a candidate at my current weight for a Lower Body Lift with vertical incision and an inner thigh lift all with the understanding that I'm going for better, not perfect, and that is exactly where my mind is. Anything has to be better than the current state of affair in my mid to nether regions. He said he will do the procedures at the same time only because I'm not asking for breast or arm work at the same time. He is also going to address my turkey waddle on my neck with liposuction and lasering which he said can produce an excellent tightened appearance (due to internal scarring) on someone with the little *****is description) of laxity that I have. He did not want to do a more drastic neck lift at my age--said it was overkill. I'm also going to have a chemical peel, but the in-office variety and not the someone-took-a-blow-torch-to-your-face variety. He actually discouraged my having any arm work since I am not willing to do the long arm scar. He said the short arm scar would leave me disappointed that there was not much improvement and said I didn't have the tremendous amount of overhang at the elbow that many have to really merit the procedure. Triceps machine here I come! (I know, I know--I can't spot reduce!) I love that he was not trying to upsell procedures. He is very focused on safety, which I love.
The price tag isn't much more than a decent used car (closer to 15K than 20), so I am pleased with that. I have two more consults to have before I decide, but I really liked the time he spent, his focus on safety, and the fact that he did not try to sell me more procedures than I asked for and actually discouraged those that wouldn't produce a wanted outcome.
If you care to donate to the "So That's What My Abs Look Like" fund, please IM me!

Just wanted to say good luck on your journey. I too am at the same place you are with plastics and having consults. I have met with dr. Krieger in Virginia, and will see dr. Michaels in Bethesda in a week or so.
I also live in Bowie too.

We should chat about Dr. Krieger. IM me if you don't mind about what you are looking at having. I'm so confused right now with these consults!! Between the money and the different approaches of the different docs--how the heck do we choose!
Talk to you soon!!

My computer (iPad) won't le me send you a message for some reason. But I am looking to have an extended tummy tuck ( I am scared of the all the way around incision) , a breast lift with implant, and maybe arms.
I know I will need these done in two stages, see him again on the 30th, and am seeing another surgeon on the 8th to get a price comparison so. Know how to negotiate. But I think. Want to go with krieger. Did you decide to maybe go with him ? Planning on seeing anyone else?
