I was wondering if someone can be so kind to explain a lot of the words used on this forum.    I truly need flabby skin things done, but need to know what the proper terms are so I don't sound like an idiot when I call for appt.  Thanks

panniculectomy= removal of skin hanging down from your belly, no sculpting, the belly button is not moved, no muscle repair

abdominoplasty=tummy tuck=removal of excess skin in the belly, stomach muscle tightening, the belly button is moved, may be used in conjunction with lipo to sculpt the mid-section

lower body lift= circumferential body lift= incision is all around the body, includes tummy tuck and butt lift, outer thighs are usually also improved

buttock auto augmentation= usually done in conjunction with the body lift= a flap of skin that would be removed in the lbl is folded over and placed in the buttock area to increase the size of the butt

Brazilian butt lift= fat is collected through liposuction and placed in the buttock area to increase the size of the butt

brachioplasty= arm lift= excess skin is removed, may be used in conjunction with lipo to decrease the size of the arms

breast lift= excess skin in the breasts is removed, nipples are moved

breast augmentation= implants are used

The anchor cut, also called the fleur de lis, is where they make a vertical incision from your pubic area up to your breasts to tighten from side to side.
