Is it normal for the output on the two jp drains to be uneven? My right drain puts out a lot less than my right. My first post op appt is tomorrow, but the hubby is curious tonight.. thanks!

Just an update.. My TT was Monday. I came home Tuesday. I take a perc every four hours, antibiotic every six, and arnica twice a day.. I can get up and own by myself, and go potty.. I am feeling ok and was able to take a short trip to the post office today with my family. I was expecting to gain weight since I am swollen, but I am down two pounds today. My drains should come out Monday.

Oh, and my garment sucks! Lol.. I guess I am short waisted, so when it's zipped all the way up it's on my boobs! So I have to unzip it just a bit...

Congratulations Dawn...I know you are going to look HOT, HOT, HOT..because you already looked HOT...

It's VERY normal...I had to keep a drainage sheet on each one of my drains...I had three, now I'm down to one and that thing is still draining at least 20 cc every 12 hours, but i think it should come out by Wed...I sure hope so...Be sure to post new pics of the new you..!!!

Thanks Cyndy! Right now one is doing 10cc every 12 hours, and the other 24cc... I am logging it..

Hi Fawn,
My LBL was 2 weeks and 2 days ago. I had 5 drains, and this past Monday, the surgeon removed my last drain! I guess just like our finger prints everyone is different with the number and time periods of needing the drains.

You sound like you are doing well. Good to get out of the house a little, we can loose track so easy after surgery. I made sure to have a special spot by our windows, so I could enjoy the sunshine.

Keep us updated on your progress,
Prek3

I had my LBL/BL last week and came home with 4 drains.  And all 4 drain at a different pace.  The 2 that were in my breasts have already been removed since they were putting out less than 20cc a day.  The one in my right hip is draining anout 25cc a day and the left is about 55cc, so they are leaving them in for another day or so.

I do the same schedule - Perc every 4-5 hours and Keflex every 6 (just took my last Keflex tonight though)

I started out with 5 drains and record everything- all different outputs. I'm left with one and hopefully it'll be out next week. I'm still recording and this last bugger is still outputting 25 cc in a 24 hr period....
