Hi.    I am one of those people who never thought I'd ever even consider PS.  And now I'm doing just that.  Just considering.  Just very early considerations.  Honestly, I feel a bit sheepish and selfish for looking into a purely cosmetic surgery.  Not to mention the kind of self-doubting questions of whether I even deserve to look a certain way after where I came.  I don't even have THAT much excess skin.  Yes, it's there, but it's mostly just stretchy, ruined, riddled skin that results in a frown on my tummy.

When should I start looking into the surgeries?  Should I have my finances obtained before I do anything?  (This might be awhile)  Do you all have any idea on the range of prices for TT and augmentation?

Right now I'm starting to plateau and I'm at a size 8.  I think a TT would at least make me a "smoothe" size 8, maybe a size 6 in some cases.  And I'd still like to lose another 10-25lbs, but I'm pretty happy where I am.  The problem is that the fat is very targeted (or is it some skin?) and so I'm curious if y'all went on strict diets and tried to build up your stomach before considering a TT.  Well thanks!

I'd research some surgeons in my area and go on a couple free consults and you'll get an idea of what it'll cost and/or if your insurance may cover anything.

They like you to be weight stable at least 6+ months before you have it, so I'd say start NOW...

Hi!
Everyone is different on this matter.I had a Lower body Lift 2 weeks and 2 days ago.  I personally knew I would have to have work done, as I had exercised and trained to the best of my ability before admitting that I had done all I could do, and this was as good as I was gonna get. I waited for 2 yrs at being at goal weight before seriously considering this dramatic change. It was more baggage to deal with and finally get rid of!

I was finally ready, and see a counselor, which has helped me talk about what I am experiencing through this transformation. Plus I require more procedures for the years of abuse I inflicted on my body being obese.

I guess some of my hard work payed off, because surgeon didn't have to cut into my muscle!!!!
Don't rush, hang around here and speak to surgeons about your hope, and what is realistic to expect.

I would wait until you are finished losing...and have maintained at least a year.

I know with wls the risk of regaining is lower than for those with no wls, but I worried about regaining for yrs after losing my initial weight. (I had no wls).

I also think waiting a few yrs will give you a realistic view of how you have ended up. I know each yr of maintenance, my body has changed a bit.

I've been at my current weight for 4-5 yrs. I just got a brachio last week. I could use a tummy tuck...but it's not horrible, and I have other things I want to save for...so it's on the back burner for now.

I think your weight should be stablized for at least 6 months.  I got implants and TT for $10k,  I didnt diet or exercise prior.
