Breast lift & Breast Augmentation?

I know what a lift is. But in some of the posts , I noticed that some of the ladies  are saying that they had a "breast lift with an augmentation"? Don't they automatically lift the breast when doing an enlargement?

Also, I think I want just a Breast Lift. But I want to see how I feel about it after all the swelling subsides from my LBL. My surgeon  feels I will be happy with the  Breast Lift alone, then adds, that if I am not happy he can go back in easily and enlarge them, says its real easy to do. **The thought of him going "back in", isn't very  appealing to me , especially right now with all the swelling!

Forgive my ignorance on this,

At one point I wanted to bump the girls up a size and consulted my ps about it. He was gonna do implants without a lift on me because he said I didn't really need a lift, and the implants would just barely give a slight lift on their own...

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

For people who already have small breasts and not much loose skin, an augmentation may be done without a lift. Most of us here need both. My breast were in horrible shape and sagged to my belly. For people like me, my surgeon does them in 2 stages, lift first then implants 6 months later. He says the implants stay higher that way. I am thrilled with my lift, but honestly, there is not much volume on top and I want to feel more feminine. As soon as I pay off this round, I will go in for my augmentation. I don't want stripper boobs, just rounder boobs.

And actually, my breast lift has been a much easier recovery than my lower body lift, so I do not worry about the recovery after the augmentation. I think it will be a breeze.

I was told I needed both a lift and an augmentation.  Not sure if you can see the girls in my pics...lol  There is so much skin and deflation that just lifting them they would still be deflated so implants are needed as well.
