I had my consult today for a panniculectomy to see how much my insurance will cover. They will cover gettting the hanging down ( below belly button) removed. I told my surgeon i really cant afford the cut for the upper section but because its about another 15 lbs he said there are optiins and things he can do to get as much skin off in the one surgery with no cash out of pocket for me!!

I am SO excited- i should hear back in about 30 days....he measured and guestimates the bottom to be 25 lbs of skin...the top another 15....Wow!!! He told me " youre a very tiny woman under all this skin missy!" Talk about a compliment lol ive been happy ALL day !

Looks like the plastics board is being added to bookmarks now! Hope to see you guys soon!

Nice job! I started at 440 and was down to 177 when I had my first belt lipectomy. I think I had about 20lbs (it's hard to remember now, I'm sure I posted in my journal) panni skin removed and it made ALL the difference in the world. If you get insurance to cover, wow!! I had to pay all out of pocket so far... there goes my expensive mid-life-crisis sports car...but it has been worth it. My upper body lift dropped about another 5-7lbs I think it was

I'm 5'5, how tall are you?

I still have 5-10lbs skin left on my thighs per one of my plastic surgeons - still have to have that surgery done - ugh. That'll be next summer. Looking at Dr. Aly but would like any other suggestions near Las Vegas/Cali/Phoenix areas...I don't know about Mexico.

Anyone else out there who anyone knows of that has had fantastic thigh surgeries? I need an example that looked like the saggy baggy elephant legs before - that's the closest example I can think of for mine.

www.picturetrail.com/kilaani has my photos - faint of heart is the file with the pre-post lower body lift and upper body stuff. ps is the password.  I need to update my 'file' with 14 months post op --- would like arms much tighter than they are now and need some fulness in the breasts, but overall, very happy.

I've heard my surgeon, Dr. LoMonaco, is an expert when it comes to thigh lifts for people who have lost over 200 pounds, but he is in Houston. He is awesome. I desperately need mine done, too, but it will be a while for that, if I decided to do it at all.

Your pictures are amazing and help me realize that this journey is worth it. What a difference. I can't imagine what this has done for you mentally!

Thank you so much for sharing.

Holy Smokes! My ex-wife got my "mid-life sports car"/plastics money in our divorce.  Now I can only afford one or the other not both!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

That is awesome news, and your surgeon sounds like a great person! My surgeon did the full TT and muscle tightening even though my insurance only covers the panni removal..sometimes we luck out!

I am still loving life with my sleeve! Been maintaining at or below goal for over 4 years!

I hope i DO luck out...i think he felt sorry for me because of my past history with back problems which wasnt my point in telling him...i dont like doctors to judge me based on sympathy. But he DID tell me if i am not glued down and persinally attatched to the idea of a cute new belly button...he can simply tell insurance that it was infected due to rashes and just not gimme a bellybutton just yet. That will make for a smoother *non-muffin top* until i can save for the top part of the anchor.

I really did appreciate what a gentleman dr. Anderson is...ill be sending them a thank you...especially since they offered me an externship as well lol
