I just got my arms done on Tuesday, and even with the scarring and swelling, I'm thrilled with them!

My biggest complaint is the compression garment (it's hot!!), but they are soo worth it

Best 4k I've ever spent!

Glad you like your results.  Hope you heal quickly and are not in much pain.  It makes me that much more anxious to get mine done.  I hate to look at the giggle in the mirror when I am lifting weights.

Keep up with the weight lifting. I will give half the credit of my awesome arms to my surgeon, but I'm taking the other half. I work hard in the gym and can't wait to get back at it. My arms are getting puny!!

I had my arm lift 6 years ago and have never regreted my decision.  My arms looks great, I love the way they look.  Unless you are standing really close you cannot see my scars & I am very fair skinned.  My scars took about 2 years to completely fade but even during that time I preferred the scars to the hanging skin and rashes I was getting from it.  I was wearing sleeveless shirts less than 3 weeks after my surgery.  I just had my thighs done last month & know the scars will take a year or 2 to fade but don't care, my thighs don't rub together from the excess skin anymore.  As far as I'm concerned if someone has a problem with my scars showing it's their problem to deal with, not mine.

Hi Mary,
My PS was in Jan, and I've been showing off my arms a lot!  I've been dancing since the end of Apr... lots of twirls with my arms in the air and sleeveless shirts most of the time.  The scars are so much better than the batwings.

Dr Sauceda will be in NYC on the 5th.  He'll be giving a presentation and doing consults.  Click on Dr Sauceda in my siggy line and bop over to his board.  You are more than welcome to join the party.  I think there are 40 of us coming.  Some are postop and will be available for questions and show and tell if you want to see his work.

It will be two years in November since I had my arms done.  My scar is a thin white line which if I wanted to I could cover with make-up.  The scars don't bother me at all.

I am one of those with pretty bad scars. From about 3 inches below my armpit and down to the elbow, they have gone keloid. The rest of the scar is nearly invisible (9 months out). One side is much worse, about 1/4" wide, raised and red.

I'm going on august 2nd to have the scars revised.

That said, I'd take the scars in a second over the wings. Even as is. My scars are hidden completely when I'm standing normally - and only show if I'm waving my arms around. My batwings showed ALL THE TIME. I've spent the last two weeks in Hawaii in tank tops and a bikini and never thought about my scars once.

I had gastric bypass in 07.  I have had a tummy tuck and breast agumentation sine then. I am very pleased with the results and I am looking at Brachioplasty. I was warned of the scares will be worse than both.  I wanted to see if you prefered the scars over the skin?!?
