Shelly, I had a brachio on Tuesday. It was outpatient. I went in at 6am and was home by 3.

The first day was uncomfortable, but each day gets better. It's been so easy!

I am 7 weeks out from Brachio and I absolutely LOVE my arms!  Yes, I have scars - but they are minimal compared to some of the photos I have seen out there!

I honestly had NO pain - but I was sore.  I only needed 1/4 of a pain pill before bed the first 3 nights after the surgery and then tylenol was enough.  It was a bit uncomfortable at times, but as long as I kept my arms tightly wrapped it was not a big deal.  I also had a breast lift/augmentation at the same time.  I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

Good luck to you!

Dr. Benn gave me an incredible tool.. and I intend to make the most out of it!!

Yay, Cyndi!! Happy for you!!

I wore the sleeves that velcroed in the back. I wore them for at least six months. They made me feel better. My nerves did weird things when they were healing. My arms tingles all the way to my forearms. The sleeves helped with this for me.

Cyndi,

The sleeves I am wearing are probably similar to what Laura wore. They hook in the back like a bra. If you want, I can look for the catalog and get you the name of the company. The PS gave me the catalog to order them and it had a 10% coupon code on it. The one pair of sleeves cost $50. I think I'm going to have to order another pair because these are full of blood. They can be washed, but I don't know how clean it will come.

Laura - 6 Months??? Was that dr recommended or you just felt better? and were they constantly on for 6 months?

Where did you get them at?  Do you think they'd work for me since I'm having the BL/BA also?

I got them from makemeheal.com. But not sure since you're also getting your breasts done. You should probably ask Dr. Bullocks. He may have something he wants you to wear. Dr. LoMonaco has me wearing an athletic bra so you may be able to do that and the sleeves separately, which may be easier to manuver than one of those all in one things.

I wore ACE bandages the first month.  Month 2 I have silcone strips on incisons and hold them on with legs from toddler tights (legs with toes cut out).  I still wear ACE at night over the silicone strips.

Love my arms.  Still some "tightness" in arm pit when I stretch arm up - no pain.

My arms never gave me an issue - armpit incisions opened a little.  I still have lifting restrictions.  I had fleur de lis tummy tuck at same time and tummy tuck was rough and I have had tissue necrosis - so have been taking care of this "open wound" for 6 weeks and probably have another 6 weeks to go.  I'm tired of compression garments and abdominal binders in this hot weather, but so worth it.

Best wishes.

I've been wearing ace bandages are night. But yesterday and today, I've worn toddle tights and it's good enough support.

Thanks, siberian for the tip. They blend a bit better than ACE bandages for when I go out.
