Strange stomach muscle contractions, anyone else?

I had a lower body lift with stomach muscle tightening 3 weeks ago. A few mornings this week I've woken up to some sort of strange involuntary muscle contractions in my mid-section. It's like I'm stretching, but I know I shouldn't be right now. It wakes me up and I try to stop it, but can't. It goes away after a few minutes. Anyone else dealing with this??

Sorry Laura, can't say that I've had that issue.  I'm thinking it would just be the muscles healing?

I've had strange muscle cramp like a major charley horse in my abs but it was more like a year out. Would come out of no where when I moved just right. It's probably muscle spasm. My Dr. gave me an RX for Valuim to help w/ the muscle spasm

Maybe it is nerves regenerating??  I have something similiar in tummy and arms.

I also can press around belly button and it send a "shock" type vibration to other areas of my belly.

I'm sure it is just healing taking place.  My R forearm is still numb after 8 weeks.

I heard back from Dr. LoMonaco. He said they are muscle spasms and shouldn't hurt anything. He said if they persist, I can take muscle relaxers.

I haven't had this, exactly, but I have noticed if I get gassy I feel it a lot more.....like the stomach is so tight there's not  much room and I can feel it moving around under the muscles.....kind of like a baby moving when pregnant......

Or maybe they inserted an alien in there when I had surgery!  :)

I feel it alot of times.  It's like what your stomach feels in the middle of a sit-up, like it's contracting in real tight!  I never know when it will happen, is kind of weird!  Doesn't really hurt, just weird.  I'm 2 1/2 months out.
