just an update: down to two drains (I'm caling them tenticles, lol) my weight is close to what it was before surgery the necrosis is slowly shrinking and I've been given the okay to use a product on my scars/wounds called wound be gone. I'm not too crazy about it it's super sticky, but since some areas are not completly "closed" I'll use it til it does close. After that I'm thinking of the silicone strips especially when I have to go back to work.
I'm feeling stronger stopped all pain meds, sometimes get the itching so I will take a pill if it happens.

Wonderful to hear your doing so great Scrappy.  I was told not to put anything on my incisions until they are all completely closed....diff surgeons, diff rules...lol

I got a product from makemeheal.com and it's called a silicone belt.  It's exactly like a binder but there's silicone on the one side so I get the support of a binder plus the silicone.  Still have a cpl open spots so haven't tried it yet.

Keep well and happy healing.

I use silicone strips on arm lift incisions for the last month - but had to wait until incisions were closed and healed.

I still have an open wound from tummy tuck.  I do pack with sterile gauze and sterile saline twice a day.  I irrigate twice a day.  I've started using a theraputic grade essential oil called "The Gift" from Young Living and my wound is really healing and closing much faster.  I still wear compression garments by day and abdominal binder at night.

I will be using silicone strips on incision after this wound heals - but that could be 6 weeks or more.  I see plastic surgeon on Friday.  I'm hoping to be able to lift more than my current 8# limit and be able to exercise.

best wishes
