Amy Colwell at Mass General?

Anyone have any experiences with Dr. Colwell? I've got a consult with her tomorrow for BA and TT. She specializes in plastics after "massive weight loss" so I think I'll be in good hands!  I wish the MGH website had some before/after photos I could stare at.

Check out Jennifer Hammond on youtube. She hasn't updated in awhile, but her initial results look great. Let me know how your consult went, I'm also hoping to find someone local for plastics.

Thanks for the help! I looked at Jennifer's channel, results are definitely impressive. 

Met with Dr. Colwell today, she was fantastic. I think I've definitely found my surgeon. She answered all of my questions, and I had quite a list. She was realistic about what I could expect and determined to help me get insurance to cover at least a portion of it. Also her assistant is awesome. I highly recommend going in for a consult!

Glad to hear you liked her.  I am definitely going to see her for 1 of my consults.  I need a lbl and bl.  Have you seen any other surgeons in the area? Good or bad?

I saw Dr. John Castle at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester - I thought they were great but the more I thought about a) the ride home after the surgery and b) the travel to and from for follow ups, the less I wanted it to be an hour out... especially with MGH in my backyard.

I also saw Dr. George Volpe, who I have used before for a Breast Reduction back in 2001. He has offices in Newton and works out of St. Elizabeth's. Also great, but doesn't have much experience with patients that have lost this much weight.

thanks for the info.  I find it very difficult to find info for surgeons in our area.  The numerous hospitals don't allow online galleries with before/after pics.  And the surgeons who have personal websites with photos don't seem that great to me.  I feel like i'll be going to way more consults than I thought I would if I stay local.

 I had my lower body lift 5 days ago at mass general I had dr Jay Austin, I cannot say enough things about him.  I am doing well, You will like the Mass general no matter who you go with.

I've lost a lot of weight thanks to a gastric bypass. I have since had a lower body lift two years ago and I am planning my next procedure! My newest video shows the scar after a year
