Back from the ps appt - I do have a seroma however after wearing a compression garment yesterday (on my own) it was not as bad as the day before. My ps does not use compression garments but said to go ahead and keep wearing it. If it gets worse, etc. to call and come back in to have it aspirated. I also had some stitches removed from my hip that had migrated out. My scabs are all gone now and my scar looks wonderful. Although I am not pleased with my "results" at least I'm not dealing with incision problems, etc.
Thanks for all the advice!

I developed a small seroma on my left side (kind of on the front of me, but to the side) despite wearing my compression garment constantly. I had it aspirated 3 times and a drain reinserted in between some of the aspirations. What finally resolved it for me was to have it aspirated and them shove a folded up handtowel down inside my compression garment to REALLY compress the hell out of that area. I wore that for 2 weeks and it never came back.
You need the skin to stick to the underlying tissues (REALLY STICK) so that the fluid cannot return.
Good luck!
