Looking for before/after pics of similar body types

So, I've done it... scheduled my tummy tuck. Been stable at 180lbs for almost 8 months now and unless I can manage to lose a few more before November I will have been stable for 11 months by the day of surgery.

Now the scary part... all the pics I see of people's tummy tucks are people who've lost down to normal BMI and are on the skinny side just with extra skin. I will never be skinny. I think 170 is an achievable and realistic lifetime goal for me, but still technically leaves me overweight. I am 5'7", very muscular, and have broad shoulders and a large frame according to wrist measurements. Any pics I've found of people my size look like botch jobs where they aren't actually left with a nice stomach.  I don't need to be swimsuit model flat, but I want the results to be something I can feel good about because I know this is a very painful and not fun experience. Not to mention expensive! I trust my surgeon very much and am awaiting some references from his office of people with my body type. But I figured I could find some people here too.

Please share your pictures if you had a tummy tuck at a similar height/weight/build as me or if you were a size 10/12 when you did it (of any height or build.)

Thank you!

Send me a friend request and you'll be able to see my pics.  I've has two plastic surgery's.  Prior to the 1st which was a LBL and BL (no implants) i weighed 155 lbs (5'5" tall) and wore a size 12 pants.  That surgery went well (or so i thought) until my stomach was protruding again about 6 months later.  Four years after 1st surgery I had a re-do of the first surgery weighing 162 lbs and wearing again a size 12 pants.  The 2nd time around I had muscle repair (TT), lipo, and breast implants.  IDK if my body looks like yours but I'm not as small as some people who have plastic surgery.  :)

Hi - I'm 5 foot 7 and now weight 160lbs I was about 170 when I had my TT with muscle repair, breast lift 3 months ago - here's a pic of my tummy now.  When you are muscular BMI doesn't work so well as it doesn't take into account body composition- technically I'm still overweight by the BMI scale - but have 22% body fat and have been working out so have good muscles - they were just hidden by some excess skin.

I also had a thigh and arm lift 5 weeks ago.

More pics etc on my blog.  Hope this helps you picture what a TT can look like when you are not at BMI normal.

Good Look
Debbie

I'm 5"4 was orignally 294 and I'm 178 now on my scale post plastics.  Per the doctor's scale I've been in the 185 range.  I work out a lot, have broad shoulders, muscles, nice legs, etc.  My problem was my belly (2 rolls-upper leftover and pannus with a development of a small lowe pannus).  It didn't matter how much I worked out, my belly was way smaller but never skinny or flat like some of the people on here.  I didn't just need skin only removed.  There was a combo of fat and skin.  The doctor told my husband he took off 10lb of tissue off the front. I had the fleur de lis to get all the extras off.  The doctor told me I would have a flatter tummy, get rid of the upper belly and cinch my waist.  I'm so glad I did that instead of the traditional tummy tuck.  I was worried he wouldn't get everything but he really did.  My belly is flat.  I've seen some pics where there is just some skin hanging only but I had a huge transformation.  I didn't take any pictures undressed before but I'll cut a paste a couple in clothes so you can get an idea.  My after from yesterday is dressed. I have a binder and dressings on so I'm smaller than the picture.  I had a breast lift/implants for my saggy girls.  I also had lipo added on to the sides of my hips. I had handles on the sides where the fat/skin landed after weight loss.  He went ahead and lipo'd my side boobs and thighs to even everything else out.
My original goal was 150 but I feel my body probably won't allow me to be lower than 170lbs.  I'm not built like some of these little girls on here.  But my goal was to look toned and fit.  I think that'sprobably a healthier goal than just skinny.

Did any one have problems with a lot of skin on their legs after WLS? This is my biggest fear!

I did... I have more skin the most, in terms of weight... my surgeon wouldn't do a full lower body lift because of complex my thighs are and my TT was complex too so I have to do them seperately, so I did a TT and arms this time and in a year or two depending on when I can afford it, I'll do breasts and thighs.

The skin is just part of the weightloss, and you'll have some, but it is different for everyone.
